Lizzie Cundy slips into a red frilly plunging swimsuit for This Morning

Lizzie Cundy made quite the memorable appearance on This Morning on Thursday, when she donned a red swimsuit to test waterproof macs in the shower.

The 52-year-old TV personality was the featured model of choice for the ITV show’s unconventional fashion segment, hosted by Lisa Snowdon.

And while the premise for the former WAG’s appearance was unusual enough, things became notably chaotic when the camera froze and her boiler broke down.

Things started off swimmingly enough, when Lizzie was seen wearing a mac while standing standing in the shower in her swimwear and outerwear combo. 

Show host Phillip Schofield raised laughs when he asked Lizzie: ‘Are you flashing?’

But then as Lisa waxed lyrical about the appeal of the featured coat, the first issue cropped up when viewers didn’t get to see Lizzie in shower testing action. 

Noting the camera issues, Phillip said: ‘It’s frozen. Have we got any pictures? We’ve thrown her into the shower and we’re not even watching.’

After getting over the technical hump, Lizzie assured: ‘The first [coat] was amazing.’

However, Lizzie raised another issue during the live broadcast, when she revealed: ‘My shower is so cold! My boiler was not working!’

She then put on a £122 red coat and a shower cap, before switching on the shower.

But Phillip saw a further issue as he enquired of Lizzie: ‘Why hasn’t she done it up?’ 

‘It’s a bit fiddly the buttons,’ Lizzie, who was seen sporting a shower cap atop her flowing locks during her hilarious segment on the show, explained.

As the segment drew to a close, Lisa admitted: ‘That sort of went wrong.’ 

The camera later panned to Phillip, who exclaimed: ‘What the hell did we just do?’ 

Before making her appearance on This Morning, Lizzie, who is good friends with Eamonn Holmes, looked incredible in a red swimsuit as she posed in her shower. 

The number had a plunging neckline and a frilly section at the cleavage as she posed up a storm behind the shower screen.  

 Sharing a snap of herself on Instagram, she wrote: ‘Guess what I will be testing out on today’s @thismorning show ?? Make sure you tune in ! @itv #thismorning #itv.’

Her hair was perfectly blow-dried for the snap and she sported a golden tan.

Lizzie has spent much of lockdown in swimwear and has been entertaining her fans by posting racy captions while fishing and using power tools in various numbers. 

She’s also been enjoying nights out at private members’ club Annabel’s, making sure to make an early appearance so she can adhere to the nation’s curfew. 

Last month, Lizzie stepped out for dinner with Lady Kitty Spencer’s wealthy Italian ex Niccolo Barattieri di San Pietro. 

The businessman has previously been linked to model Elizabeth Hurley after they were spotted having a date together in Mayfair back in 2018.

His white Maserati was also said to be spotted regularly outside her Chelsea home at the time. 

The property developer previously dated Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty, however they called time on their romance in 2017. 

The TV star will no doubt invite Niccolo to the lavish bash she is planning after she was forced to cancel her 52nd birthday during lockdown in May.

In true Lizzie style, she has promised a huge party once life returns to normal with the proceeds from the bash going to the National Health Service.
