Love Island couple Wes Nelson and Arabella Chi pose for a cheeky shoot in a bathtub

They’re currently joining much of the the UK in social distancing and hunkering down in their London flat. 

But Wes Nelson shared fond memories as he wished Arabella Chi a happy 29th birthday on Friday.

The Love Island 2018 star, 22, and his girlfriend – who appeared on the summer 2019 series of the ITV2 reality show – posed for a cheeky shoot as they larked about in a bathtub of bubbles.  

Wes wore a backwards cap, while Arabella slipped into an orange bikini as they sipped champagne in front of an idyllic view. 

Alongside the three saucy snaps, he penned: ‘My mum has always said when you find the right one you’ll just know…

‘It’s safe to say I’ve found my one!  Happy birthday to my better half Arabella Chi. You’re something else and yes our birthdays are a day apart.’ (sic)  

The first shot showed the couple throw bubbles in each other’s faces while laughing, before the model reclined on her boyfriend as the pair clinked glasses. 

Arabella poked fun at the couple’s age gap as she paid tribute to her boyfriend on Thursday as he turned 22.

Alongside a stunning snap of the pair in a tropical location, she wrote: ‘It’s a very special day today because it’s this special persons birthday. 

‘If I would have looked at my situation this time last year and think I would have somebody like you in my life I would say your joking , but just shows everything happens for a reason and timing is everything.

‘We are born a day apart (minus the age difference) Our sense of humour is identical which means most days we are in stitches with laughter, we both are so lucky to have such loving supportive families which get on dangerously well! 

‘You bring out my fiery side as you challenge me in an argument and don’t back down but 5 minutes later I’m in your arms and we are laughing again that’s true love.

‘You also put up with my mood swings if I haven’t had enough sleep you deserve a medal. You really do get me and I love you.’ 

Wes and Arabella have been delighting fans with their TikTok videos while cooped up in isolation following government advice surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The couple recently told OK! magazine that their eight-year age difference has not posed a challenge to their relationship.

Wes said: ‘Never! People tell me I act way older than my age. I’m very mature, and Arabella is the immature one.

Arabella added: ‘People always think I’m 21 because I don’t look, or act my page. Wes has had a lot of life experience because he’s been on Love Island and has done a lot, so he has been fast tracked.’ 

Wes shot to fame on the 2018 series of Love Island, where he found romance with co-star Megan Barton Hanson, 26.

The couple moved in together after leaving the show, but parted ways six months later.

Arabella’s time in the Love Island villa was short-lived. The model and yoga instructor coupled up with male model Danny Williams, 22, during her brief stint, but he moved on to Jourdan Riane, 25, after Arabella was eliminated.
