She added: ‘Yesterday we got the devastating news that we lost an undeniably special soul. Drew & I had been buds since we were teens. He was one of my first friends in LA and we grew up together. Some of my best, funniest and silliest memories in my life are with Drew. If you knew him, you know that he was mind numbingly funny and had the most incredible spirit. The kind of humor that brought you to your knees’.

Lucy wrote about taking trips with Drew and her best friend Annie Leonard that were filled with crying and laughter.

‘He was kind, compassionate, so smart, SO FUNNY and it is an unimaginable loss for all that knew him. His sensitive heart and empathetic way about him did not go unnoticed. Very rarely do you have a connection with someone where you don’t have to say a word. I could sit in silence with Drew and he would just get it,’ she wrote.

‘He ALWAYS let the people he loved know how special they were. Even when he couldn’t see how magnificent he was, he made others feel seen and heard. There’s so much you didn’t get to see and do in this lifetime but I hope you know you will live on through us. I will miss you forever and I’ll see you on the other side sweet one,’ Lucy concluded while asking for his family and for Annie.

Annie also paid tribute to Drew who had several acting credits with small parts on TV shows.

She wrote that Drew became part of her family and was a regular at family gatherings.

‘In the last few years of his life he was overwhelmed by his addiction but even so, he never failed to show how deeply he loved me. And even though I had to set boundaries in the last year of his life because of his addiction- I know he knew how much I loved him. All I ever wanted for Drew was for him to be happy ans healthy. I wish I could have helped him. I truly don’t understand how I am supposed to navigate this loss. I always thought that he would get sober and we would pick back up where we left off. I am beyond heartbroken, shocked and devastated. I love you Drew,’ she posted.
