Machine Gun Kelly shows off torso and shares workout routine

He’s a musician known for his athletic on-stage performances.

And Machine Gun Kelly, 30, has revealed how he stays in shape for his showstopping live acts, as well as his health goals, in an interview for the September issue of Men’s Health. 

‘I have no desire to just be a muscly version of myself,’ the star of The Dirt told the fitness magazine. 

The rapper -whose real name is Colson Baker- said he’s instead looking to impress with his stage presence.

The bloody valentine hitmaker, who is known for climbing rigging and leaping off tall speakers during his stage shows, said he looks for ‘the moments onstage that will define my live-performance legacy’. 

‘I’m looking for the next thing where people will think I’m a terminator onstage and say, “That can’t be human.”‘

The Bird Box actor said he’s keen to inspire others to work on their physical fitness, too, admitting, ‘I’m not Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson. But people should look at me and think, If this guy can get into the gym, I can, too.’ 

MGK also revealed that his recently increased public exposure means he’s seeing more photos of himself from behind, prompting his desire to improve the look of his body and in turn, numerous back tattoos.

‘The more I see pictures of my back, the more I want to add muscle to it to change the landscape of how it looks over time.’ 

Much of that additional scrutiny of the rapper has come from his new and high profile relationship with Megan Fox. 

The musician and the 34-year-old actress met while on the set of their upcoming film Midnight In The Switchgrass. 

Megan recently admitted in a conversation with the film’s director Randall Emmett  that she knew ‘something’ would happen between her and Kelly on the set of the upcoming movie.

The Transformers star, who shares sons Noah, seven, Bodhi, six, and Journey, four, with her estranged husband Brian Austin Green, said: ‘I was like, “Who is going to play this role?” And he was like, “Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly,” and immediately, I was like, “Uh oh.”

‘Yeah, because I knew — I could feel that some wild s*** was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul — that something was going to come from that. So then, we met on set.’

Midnight In The Switchgrass was filmed in Puerto Rico in early March, though production was delayed until June due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. 

Meanwhile a source confirms to People magazine that former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Green is indeed not happy over his ex’s moves.

‘Brian is annoyed that she is so focused on her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly,’ the source stated. ‘He doesn’t understand the need to post social media pictures with silly captions to proclaim her love for him. They aren’t even divorced yet. It definitely annoys Brian.’

The 47-year-old is also shocked by how she fell for Machine Gun Kelly so soon after they split.

Megan and Brian reportedly separated late last year. ‘It stings a bit too that Megan moved on so quickly,’ the source added.
