MAFS star Jason Engler says he ‘doesn’t care’ about Liam Cooper after that leaked video

Last week Married At First Sight star Liam Cooper attacked Channel Nine for ‘covering up’ a vile leaked homophobic rant recorded by fellow groom, Jason Engler.

And now, Daily Mail Australia has obtained exclusive footage of Jason saying he ‘doesn’t care’ about his co-star’s feelings following the controversy.

In the video, which was filmed during a taping for the show’s finale in February, the 35-year-old construction estimator can be heard telling the cameras, ‘About that (Liam’s feelings) let’s be real. He’s not one of my boys so …’

‘He’s not one of the boys’: Daily Mail Australia has obtained shocking footage of MAFS’ Jason Engler saying he ‘doesn’t care’ about co-star Liam Cooper’s feelings after being busted going on vile homophobic rant about bisexual groom

When asked if he knew how Liam felt towards him after the leaked footage, Jason said: ‘I have absolutely no idea. I haven’t spoken to Liam at all since (filming the homophobic video).’

‘He’s probably spoken to the guys tonight, but I have no idea,’ Jason continued, before he shrugged to cameras and gave a blank stare towards the camera.

After a producer informed Jason that Liam wasn’t happy upon seeing the footage, Jason said that he ‘didn’t care’.

‘To be honest I don’t actually care, Liam is someone who I would never ever associate with on the outside world, so you know. I don’t actually care,’ he continued.

‘He’s not one of my boys, and will never, ever be one of my boys so …  I haven’t spoken to him. I haven’t seen the guy,’ he added, before the clip abruptly ends.

In the clip, Jason also ridiculed him for ‘not going to the gym’ and called him ‘fat’, ‘ugly’ and ‘chubby’.

The clip also featured Liam’s bride Georgia Fairweather and fellow MAFS star Johnny Balbuziente, who giggled along with a visibly drunk Jason.

However, the issue of the video was not raised on the show, despite Liam and Georgia taking to the couch during the last MAFS episode and being grilled by the reality TV hit’s ‘experts’.

Instead, Liam praised Georgia for ‘accepting’ him during their ‘marriage’.

The prison case officer said that as a queer man, ‘you go through a lot to get where you are. It’s not an easy process. And Georgia didn’t judge’.

‘I wanted to be accepted and yeah, Georgia did it.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel 9 for comment as to why there was no mention of the leaked video.

Jason is understood to have not apologised for what he said in the leaked footage until he was approached for comment by Daily Mail Australia, earlier this month.

‘I would like to sincerely apologise for my comments in regards to a fellow MAFS participant’s sexuality,’ he said on April 5 in a statement issued via Channel Nine’s publicity department.

‘After a few too many drinks I made some inappropriate remarks that I am ashamed of and greatly regret. I will learn from this and try to become a better person from this experience.’

Spoiler alert: Jason's (pictured) hurtful comments were made three days before Liam and Georgia filmed their final vows - which are set to air on Tuesday night - and all but confirm the couple's split
