‘It’s kind of crazy’: Mama June reflects on blowing $1 MILLION in just one year on her cocaine habit
Mama June opened up about her and boyfriend Geno Doak’s high-profile battle with cocaine addiction, losing custody of her daughter and the possibility of starring in an adult film.
During a virtual appearance on E!’s For Real: The Story of Reality TV with host Andy Cohen, the 41-year-old reality star reflected on being a reality-show staple for more than a decade and road to recovery.
‘I’m not gonna lie to you. When we went into rehab, we spent $600,000 in six months,’ the Toddlers & Tiaras alum admitted to Cohen, 52.

When the famed Bravo TV host asked what she spent that money on, the mother-of-four replied: ‘Cocaine.’
‘It’s kind of crazy, like, when you actually think about the dollar amount. In a year, we probably spent over a million. I mean, because our habit was $3,500 to $4,000 a day,’ she marveled.
The star, who shares daughters Anna Marie ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell, 26, Jessica Louise ‘Chubbs’ Shannon, 24, Lauryn Michelle ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon, 21, and Alana Frances ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson, 15, with ex Sugar Bear, also reminded viewers ‘addiction is real.’

‘I’m a real person, I have real issues and that’s what I share with people,’ she said.
The matriarch of the Shannon family explained: ‘I say that I’m a recovering addict. I know I had a problem but it’s hard for me to say I’m still an addict because I’m not doing those things anymore.’
Despite her family blaming Geno for her past drug use, she pointed out her addiction wasn’t ‘his fault’ and thanked him for loving her through her ‘crazy state of mind.’

‘He loved me through my addiction, and I’ve loved him through his addiction,’ she gushed.
Despite receiving backlash over her parenting skills and lifestyle choices over the years, Mama June has no plans to stop filming her show Mama June: Road to Redemption or other future reality shows.
‘If I can make it through the crazy roller-coasters in life being in front the camera, anyone can do it in this crazy thing called life,’ she added.
She also joked about having no plans to star in a pornographic film, until she loses the 60 pounds under quarantine from ‘eating fat cakes.’
