Married At First Sight: Mishel Karen and Steve Burley prepare for showdown

Married At First Sight PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Mishel Karen and Steve Burley reunite after she brutally dumped him at their final vows

Their ‘marriage’ finally ended at their final vow ceremony on Monday night.

But it appears there’s still plenty of drama left to come between Married At First Sight’s Mishel Karen and Steve Burley during the show’s reunion episodes.

On January 14, the pair both looked apprehensive as they landed in Sydney Airport separately to film the season finale, eight weeks after splitting up on the show.

Steve, 51, was first to land in Sydney after flying in from Melbourne.

He charged through the airport and appeared tense, presumably nervous about coming face-to-face with his ex-‘wife’ again after she dumped him.

The barbershop owner failed to crack a smile as he walked through the terminal.

Mishel landed around an hour later after flying in from Brisbane.

The 49-year-old kept her sunglasses on as she walked through the terminal to collect her luggage, also looking nervous about their television reunion.

She then flagged a taxi and went to her hotel in Chatswood, with producers keeping Steve in another hotel on the other side of Sydney to avoid them seeing each other.

During her final vows on Monday, Mishel accused Steve of ‘wasting her time’ as he told her he loved her, despite previously saying he was not attracted to her.

‘I have felt the least attractive, least sensual I’ve ever felt in my whole life spending the time with you and listening to you remind me that you have no attraction,’ the furious bride said.

Walking away, Mishel threw away her wedding ring and said: ‘It’s empowering to take back my strength, to take back my voice as a woman.

‘I actually deserve someone that desires me and wants me. I’m very free now. I feel like, “Oh, drop the ring! I’m free!”‘
