Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff exposes ‘brutal tolls’ for ‘disgusting’ comments

Since appearing on the 2019 season of Married At First Sight, Elizabeth Sobinoff has been criticised for her weight, looks, love life and career ambitions.

And she’s had enough!

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday, the returning 2020 bride sent a strong message exposing her trolls’ vile behaviour.

Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff has exposed her ‘brutal tolls’ for the ‘appalling and disgusting’ comments they send her – including DEATH threats

Elizabeth was fat-shamed on her first TV stint by ‘husband’ Sam Ball, and she returned to the franchise a year later with a new look and slimmed-down frame.

The confident bride told the publication she has learnt to be careful when using social media due to trolls and keyboard warriors.

‘It can be brutal and absolutely appalling and disgusting. Two hours before I go to bed I don’t look at it and first thing in the morning I don’t look and I also don’t read or reply to comments,’ Elizabeth said.

Just last month, she labelled the trolling she was receiving ‘disgusting’, ‘wrong’ and potentially dangerous during an appearance on Talking Married.

Elizabeth said that the online attacks were much worse this year on her second time on the program.

‘For instance, I’d actually personally never had a death threat… I’ve had two [this season],’ she told host Shelley Horton.

‘It’s disgusting and people have got to realise we’re people as well. It’s not on. We’re real people.’

It’s not the first time Elizabeth has taken a stand against trolls, having been bullied online for her fluctuating weight, accused of photoshopping images, and faking her relationship with new TV ‘husband’ Seb Guilhaus.

In July 2019, Elizabeth hit back at cruel online taunts that accused her of editing her body in a bikini photo shoot for NW magazine.

‘Let me just say the people who left negative comments about these pics, shame on you. Talking about thigh gaps, I have a thigh gap, I’m not the most toned person on the planet I have really big hip bones and the top of my legs don’t touch,’ Elizabeth’s caption began.

‘Apologies for my bone structure offending you. If you are choosing to ‘zoom’ in look at my stretch marks and dimples and where my tan has worn off. Look at my rolls even in this picture.’

She’s lost 10kg since her debut on the show in 2019, and continues to see her weight scrutinised by Instagram users.

Last year she shared a photo in lingerie with the words ‘thin’ and ‘thick’ written across her stomach in defiance to her haters.

‘Thin? Thick? [I’ve] been called fat, been called flabby, been told I’m promoting anorexia, been told I must have had weight loss surgery,’ Elizabeth began.

‘Been told my a** is too big and my thighs as well (thick thighs save lives) my top too little. Then I get told I’ve lost my curves, trying to indicate I’ve lost my soul.’

Speaking to 9Honey in March 2019, Elizabeth revealed she was suffering from two chronic health conditions: porphyria, a blood disorder, and autoimmune disease, which is a mild form of Lupus.

She said because these conditions can cause fluctuating weight, she was at her ‘heaviest’ while filming season six of Married At First Sight in late 2018.
