Married At First Sight’s Jason Engler flips the bird at the reunion dinner party as filming grinds to a halt due to noisy construction workers

Jason Engler spent most of his time on Married At First Sight looking drawn, tired and depressed.

So it was surprising to see him in an excitable mood while filming scenes for Wednesday night’s reunion dinner party in Sydney on February 10.

The construction estimator, 35, flipped the bird at photographers after production was brought to a halt due to noisy construction workers nearby.

Naughty! Married At First Sight’s Jason Engler was in an uncharacteristically lively mood while filming scenes for Wednesday night’s reunion dinner party in Sydney on February 10

Jason was in the middle of a piece-to-camera interview when he was interrupted by the building works.

After being forced to pause the shoot, he playfully stuck his middle fingers up at a nearby photographer.

Meanwhile, his producer yelled at the workers: ‘Hey guys, I’m trying to film. I need five minutes. Can you keep your voices down? Thanks.’

Filming had also been disrupted earlier in the evening when Beck Zemek was trying to record her interviews.

But unlike Jason, the 27-year-old business manager was able to concentrate on the task at hand and wasn’t bothered by the noise.

For the past seven seasons, Married At First Sight has filmed its dinner parties and reunion episodes at a warehouse in Sydney’s Lilyfield.

But this year Endemol Shine had to find another location to film the reunion after a rival TV production company booked out the Lilyfield space.

They eventually settled on The Grounds of Alexandria, an upmarket restaurant in Sydney.

‘The reunion episode was supposed to be filmed in mid-January but it just kept getting pushed back. There was no way they could afford to keep it locked in,’ a source said.
