But on Tuesday, Married At First Sight star Jason Engler confidently revealed his rippling abs in an Instagram Story post.
The 35-year-old appeared to have just finished working out at the gym as he stripped off his T-shirt and with just his shorts on.

In the photo, he posed in front of a mirror of the elevator to show off his very muscular physique.
‘Swipe up to use for code,’ he joked in the caption, possibly poking fun at other former contestants who have become Instagram Influencers, like his ex-wife Alana Lister.
Jason’s selfie comes after construction estimator, who failed to find love with school teacher Alana, said keyboard warriors had driven him to tweak his appearance.
He was often mocked by viewers for his poorly defined eyelashes, and so decided to make them more noticeable by getting them coloured.

Jason said he was affected by trolls saying he didn’t have any eyelashes that he decided to get them professionally dyed.
Exclusive photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia showed the Brisbane native getting his lashes darkened at a salon.
Jason said he was often made fun of for not having prominent eyelashes during his appearance on Nine’s social experiment.

He also said viewers had accused him of being ‘high’ because of his ‘stoner-looking eyes’.
‘I don’t know why everyone always thinks that. I don’t smoke weed,’ he clarified. ‘My eyes were red because either I was really tired or I had been crying at some point.’
It comes after Jason revealed he would never get back with Alana, after they split up following their final vows.

‘Maybe in the next lifetime. Alana is every bit the amazing woman Australia has seen and she deserves all the love and happiness in the world.’
He added: ‘As much as I wanted to give her that happiness I couldn’t. I’ll always have a place for [her] in my heart.’
