Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis, 32, responds to claims she ‘waited too late’ to have children as she reveals her family plans

Married At First Sight’s Martha Kalifatidis has revealed her desire to have children.

The 32-year-old influencer, who is dating co-star Michael Brunelli, says she hopes to become a mother one day.

‘I definitely want kids,’ Martha told her Instagram followers during a Q&A session on Wednesday night.

When asked by a fan if she was worried about ‘getting too old for children’, Martha said she was considering IVF as an option if she can’t conceive naturally. 

She explained: ‘I have faith that everything that’s meant to be will be.

‘If it doesn’t work work out for me then modern medicine has come so far when it comes to fertility.’

It comes after Michael, 30, spoke candidly about the couple’s relationship struggles. 

The pair have been dating since meeting on the 2019 season of Married At First Sight, but have had their share of ups and downs.

‘When the show first came out and our relationship was public, it was a lot for us to handle,’ he wrote on Instagram.

‘Fake articles, rumours and bulls**t DMs were hard to deal with and probably caused a few arguments in the early days.’

‘But we would always talk them through and move on. Now we’re at a point where we give zero f**ks about the crap that gets written,’ he added. 

The former school teacher also revealed the reason why he decided to apply for Nine’s social experiment in the first place.

‘I had been single for four years. I was sick of using dating apps. I wanted something more,’ he said.

‘I was also growing stale in my teaching career. So I applied for MAFS and I applied for a teaching job in Dubai.

‘I said to myself whichever one I get first, I’ll do it. Two years later, here we are.’
