Her daughter Martha Kalifatidis has made a habit of hiding from the paps of late as she tries to carve out a lucrative career of being a luxury fashion and beauty blogger.
But Mary Kalifatidis happily lapped up the limelight last week, ahead of her Big Brother debut on Monday night.
Mary smiled at photographers as she grabbed a coffee and a sandwich after filling up at a petrol station in Melbourne.

She then visited a hair salon for a pamper session before returning home.
The 56-year-old cut a youthful and casual figure in a pair of black baggy tracksuit pants, a grey cardigan and crisp white sneakers during the outing.
The mother-of-two flaunted her youthful visage by wearing minimal makeup and showed off her fresh blow-dry.
Mary will officially head into the Big Brother house tonight.

And ahead of her debut, she recently revealed what she believes will be her secret weapon to winning the Channel Seven show.
In a teaser trailer for the series, Mary revealed the one skill that will likely land her in the finale of the very strategic and alliance-heavy game.
‘My secret weapon might be my food… Boys they love their mum and they love their mum’s cooking,’ she revealed in the trailer.
Mary is first seen sitting in a car while on her way to the house and says: ‘Big Brother better have the champagne on ice.’
She also told viewers: ‘I was a young mum. You cook, you clean, but now it’s time to find Mary.’

It comes after fans spotted Mary in a series of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments in a teaser trailer for the upcoming series posted to Instagram on Wednesday.
‘Big Brother Is Ready: The house is ready. Big Brother is waiting. See you April 26,’ read the caption.
Mary is accustomed to reality TV, having also featured on Married At First Sight when her daughter, Martha, 32, appeared in 2019.
Rumours emerged earlier this month that Mary would be entering the Big Brother house, stepping out from her famous daughter’s shadow.
She already boasts over 44,000 followers on Instagram, and is well-known for her hilarious and outspoken personality.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia earlier this month, a well-placed insider claimed producers were desperate for Mary and Martha to appear on the Channel Seven show together, but were forced to change plans at the last minute.
‘Martha has a good thing going with Nine and suggested that Mary would be perfect for the show,’ they said.
‘Mary is already popular with a lot of MAFS fans. They all love her. She will bring a lot of drama into the house and is very well liked and not afraid to speak her mind.’
