Martin Lewis makes hilarious gaffe as he appears on live This Morning in his GYM GEAR because he ‘mistimed’ his home workout

Martin Lewis made a hilarious gaffe during Monday’s edition of This Morning, when he accidentally appeared in gym gear.

The TV presenter, 47, revealed he had ‘mistimed’ his home workout which meant he had to rush into chat about his phone-in on the show while in the casual ensemble.

Dressed in a blue sports top, he said: ‘Apologies about my appearance, I didn’t time my exercise right. I will be dressed properly later.’

Holly Willoughby said that he was ‘doing a Joe Wicks on us’ so that was why he had almost forgotten his appearance on the daytime talk show.

Later on the show, Martin chatted about how people can save money on their energy bills and had changed into a smart white shirt.

Fellow co-host Phillip Schofield joked that he’d finally ‘got dressed’ for the show, and Martin went on to help advise viewers on their issues with getting refunds amid the cornavirus crisis.

Martin appeared nonplussed by the earlier gaffe as he continued to inform viewers on how they could get their money back.

This is not the first time Martin has made an error on the show, as he apologised to viewers for saying ‘bloody’ during a live segment of This Morning last month.

The financial journalist was helping give advice to self-employed people whose income may be affected by the coronavirus pandemic when he accidentally swore.

Speaking to hosts Holly and Phil, Martin said: ‘I am hearing from the top and I am working bloody hard on this.

He then added: ‘Sorry, I am working very hard on this. No one heard that, sorry for the kids at home.’

The broadcaster has been making regular appearances on This Morning as he advises the public on what to do with their finances after the effect COVID-19 has had on the economy.
