MasterChef Australia judge Melissa Leong has revealed there is a soft side to Gordon Ramsay that fans don’t often see.

The British superstar chef appeared on MasterChef Australia: Back To Win last week, and Melissa, 40, says the 53-year-old was a joy to work with. 

She tells Huffington Post Australia:  ‘His work ethic and enthusiasm for the pursuit of excellence is unparalleled.

‘But he is also kind and considerate and generous, a side of Gordon that I’m glad our audience gets to see, as well as all the f-bombs.’

Melissa went on to say that the chef has brought ‘gravitas’ to the Australian program and the judges loved working with him. 

‘He brings gravitas, encyclopedic knowledge and real inspiration to the kitchen and we had a total blast going toe to toe with the great man,’ she said.

Gordon was a hit with the judges and contestants alike when he appeared as a guest judge last week.   

MasterChef star Poh Ling Yeow seemed particularly smitten and set the record straight about rumours she is secretly crushing on the chef.

Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine on Monday, the 47-year-old refuted claims she was starry-eyed for the superstar chef.
