‘Give him the title now!’ MasterChef fans praise Reynold Poernomo for his white chocolate ganache masterpiece – as the judges remark it’s ‘to die for’

Reynold Poernomo lived up to his ‘Dessert King’ status on Sunday night’s episode of MasterChef: Back To Win. 

In just 75 minutes, the 26-year-old whipped up a white chocolate ganache with a walnut brown butter crumble, coffee-steeped vanilla ice cream, a burnt vanilla meringue and a lemon jam.

After tasting and dishing out compliment after compliment, the judges gave Reynold a group hug and a high-five. 

‘Give him the title now!’ The MasterChef judges and fans praised Reynold Poernomo (pictured) for his white chocolate ganache masterpiece on Sunday night’s episode 

‘The whipped chocolate is to die for, I got a hit of the jam. Wow. Just made me smile,’ Jock Zonfrillo said.

‘It’s just so good, and the balance is so good. The elements are so good,’ he continued. 

Melissa Leong added: ‘It blows my little noggin. I feel privileged to eat it, so thank you.’

Andy Allen also remarked: ‘It’s probably right up there with the dish of the competition. It’s technically sound, but overall it tastes bloody fantastic.’

Another added: ‘He’s so good and I love watching how much he absolutely loves cooking.’

‘Another sublime dish from Reynold,’ one also wrote, along with one who jokingly said she’s ‘writing out her marriage proposal.’ 

Earlier on in the episode, Reynold said he wanted to push himself ‘further and further’.   

‘It’s not just that I don’t want to go home yet, I want to go all the way. I’m here, back to win. [I’ve] just got to stay focused, head strong in the game.’

The following year, he launched the luxury KOI Dessert Bar in Sydney’s Chippendale.

The eatery was such a success that Reynold expanded with the KOI Dessert Kitchen in Ryde.

He’s since opened Monkey’s Corner cocktail bar in Chippendale and the pop up bakery TiNi Artisan Bakehouse.
