Hundreds have flooded Facebook, viewing in with their opinions after a post questioned, ‘What do you think of the new judges?’

‘They need to make connections with viewers and they’re all just too staged for me. In other words, not real.’

One person wrote: ‘I like Jock and Andy and I’m reserving judgment on Melissa. Hoping she settles down a bit.’

Another agreed: ‘Melissa needs to tone down her comments. Too over the top’.

Someone else added:  ‘Personal opinion: I think I like Jock. Not so much on Andy. Melissa tries a bit too hard.’

However comments were mostly positive, with many calling the new line up ‘great’ and a ‘change needed’.

One fan wrote: ‘I love them and much prefer them to the previous judges. The sad truth is Gary and George were no longer as respected in the restaurant industry as they used to be.

‘Jock has a genuinely well respected and successful restaurant and brings that prestige to the show’.

Another added: ‘Refreshing to have new judges, we don’t know what they like and think so not predictable. They all add something special to the show’.
