‘It’s not all been hugs and kisses’: They play nice on camera while battling it out in the kitchen. But according to a new report there is tension brewing between several MasterChef Australia contestants. It comes after an awkward embrace between Laura Sharrad (pictured) and Sarah Tiong

‘None of them imagined they’d be back, so this coveted opportunity has brought with it a lot of friction and angst on the set that nobody predicted,’ the ‘insider’ claimed.

The source added: ‘It’s not all been hugs and kisses – when the cameras stopped rolling some contestants were quick to rush back to their apartments and practice their challenges rather than socialise.’

Daily Mail Australia has approached Channel 10 for comment.

‘Also I don’t use that word as it is only aimed at women – and if you ask anyone I know, I hate it!’ she clarified.
