Jock Zonfrillo has revealed his genius way of cooking eggs using just a jaffle maker.

In a video posted to Instagram on Thursday, the 44-year-old MasterChef judge tried his hand at making ‘four different types of egg in a jaffle maker’.

He said he’d been inspired after the MasterChef contestants were tasked with creating a dish using either chicken or eggs during Thursday’s episode.

Jock put different ingredients into each press of the jaffle maker, including green chilli, Mexican hot sauce, salt, Dijon mustard, coconut cream and fish sauce.

The Scottish-born chef then added an egg to each press, before closing the lid and allowing it to cook.

‘The reality is, I have no idea how long this is going to take. My estimation is around two minutes,’ he confessed.

After waiting for the eggs to cook, Jock finally opened the lid again to reveal four perfectly cooked omelettes.

‘Oh, the smell is unbelievable,’ he excitedly told his followers as he began to remove the eggs from the jaffle maker. 

He added: ‘Talk about a quick meal… Four completely different egg dishes.’

As he sampled each of the dishes, Jock couldn’t hide his pride at his clever egg hack, calling the food ‘amazing’.

‘Classic and delicious! So good… That’s so good! Four different egg dishes in two minutes. There is no excuse for rubbish food,’ he said. 

He also broke down the ingredients for any fans eager to give it a try for themselves.

‘Eggs 4 Ways in under 2 minutes. Believe it. Eggs 4 ways in a Jaffle Maker in under 2 minutes. Whaaa? YES,’ he wrote on Instagram.

He then listed all the necessary ingredients: ‘Jaffle Maker, 4 x eggs, Butter, Green Chilli Sauce (Habanero), Mexican Hot Sauce, Salt, Dijon Mustard, Worchestershire Sauce, Coconut Cream, Fish Sauce, Kaffir Lime Leaf, Lime, Tamarind’.

The former restaurant owner excitedly added: ‘That’s it. How goooooood? So goooooood!’
