Megan Fox’s director Randall Emmett says she has great chemistry with Machine Gun Kelly

Megan Fox was ‘very passionate’ about her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly while on the set of their upcoming film Midnight In The Switchgrass.

The 34-year-old actress and the 30-year-old rapper met while filming and Randall Emmett — who directed the movie — revealed the pair are ‘very happy’ in their romance while talking with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday.

The film producer added that it was ‘sweet and beautiful’ to see the two lovebirds together. ‘They’re very passionate about one another and very happy, and I mean, it’s really sweet to see that I had a little hand in that,’ he said via video chat.

‘The chemistry [on set] was second to none, but I just thought, I’m a great director!’ joked Emmett who is engaged to LaLa Kent of Vanderpump Rules.

‘I didn’t know there were these undertones and all that, and now, we spend a lot of time with them since they’ve been together and it’s really sweet and beautiful, and I’m really happy for both of them.’

Randall was making his directorial debut on the crime thriller after working as a producer for years, including on high-profile productions like Martin Scorsese’s Silence. 

The filmmaker and his fiancée Kent have been on double dates with Megan and Kelly — whose real name is Colson Baker — and he joked that the new couple are ‘glued to each other.’

‘Let me tell you the joke I make about our double dates, and they know I say this to their face: Going on a double date with Megan and Colson, it’s like an individual date and a double date.

‘The first half is very “double date.” Everybody is conversing, we’re having fun, we’re laughing. The second half, they don’t even know our name. They’re just glued to each other!’ he joked. 

Meanwhile, Megan recently admitted in a conversation with Randall and Lala that she knew ‘something’ would happen between her and Kelly on the set of the upcoming movie. 

The Transformers star, who shares sons Noah, seven, Bodhi, six, and Journey, four, with her estranged husband Brian Austin Green, said: ‘I was like, “Who is going to play this role?” And he was like, “Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly,” and immediately, I was like, “Uh oh.”

‘Yeah, because I knew — I could feel that some wild s*** was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul — that something was going to come from that. So then, we met on set.’

Midnight In The Switchgrass was filmed in Puerto Rico in early March, though production was delayed until June due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Megan stars with Bruce Willis as detectives trying to break up a child trafficking ring, but their investigation brings them across the path of a notorious Texas serial killer.

They set out to track him down with the help of another detective on his trail (Emile Hirsch), but Megan’s character is kidnapped by the killer, leaving her colleagues in a desperate race to save her.

Megan had been married to her former love Brian since 2010, and they dated since 2004 after meeting on the set of Hope & Faith.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 shared a pointed dig at his ex on Instagram on Wednesday after she called Kelly her ‘achingly beautiful boy’ on her own account.

Brian shared photos of his four sons, including the three boys he shares with Megan, captioning them, ‘Achingly beautiful boys…… My heart is yours.’
