Michael Brunelli shares a sweet message to mother-in-law Mary Kalifatidis as she joins Big Brother

She hopes to win this year’s Big Brother Australia.

And Mary Kalifatidis’ famous family are rallying around her.

On Tuesday night, her son-in-law Michael Brunelli left the 56-year-old a heartfelt message ahead of her reality TV journey.

Well wishes! Former Married At First Sight star Michael Brunelli has shared a sweet message to her mother-in-law Mary Kalifatidis as she joins the cast of Big Brother

Posting to his Instagram, the personal trainer, 30, who tied the knot with Mary’s daughter Martha on Married At First Sight back in 2018, shared a throwback photo of himself enjoying dinner with the Kalifatidis matriarch.

‘Good luck in the Big Brother house Mary! If there’s one thing you’ve taught me… It’s this… using one of your favourite sayings…”⁣I don’t care, I’m hot,”‘ he captioned the post.

‘If you think you’re hot, then you’re hot.⁣ Nobody else needs to tell you you’re hot, it comes from within. ⁣When you think it, it becomes reality. ⁣And when you’re hot you don’t need to worry about what anyone else thinks,’ he added.

He then went on to say that Mary’s finest quality is that she does not compare herself to others.

⁣’Michael continued: ‘The lesson… self-confidence is EVERYTHING. ⁣It doesn’t matter what you look like.⁣ It doesn’t matter how you’re shaped.⁣

It doesn’t matter how old you are.⁣ It doesn’t matter what you wear. ⁣

‘When you become sure of yourself you can achieving anything….and of course, bread is life,’ he cheekily added, referencing her love for bread which has been documented on social media for months.

Michael isn’t the only one who shared supportive messages with Mary.

Prior to entering the Big Brother house, her daughter Martha, 32, shared her mother’s words of wisdom.

‘She just said to me be yourself, because people will read that it’s not you, so just be yourself,’ Mary said on The Morning Show.

‘You can’t be anyone else on there anyway because you’re filmed constantly.’

In the lead-up to her arrival on the Channel Seven reality show, Mary revealed this moment is one she’s waited for for years.

She told this week’s New Idea magazine: ‘It’s time for me to something for myself and see what I am capable of.’

Meanwhile, according to Mary’s Big Brother profile, she plans to win over her rivals by doing a lot of cooking, saying: ‘I want to get all of those bastards fat!’

Rumours emerged earlier this month that Mary would be entering the Big Brother house, stepping out from her famous daughter’s shadow.

She already boasts more than 50,000 followers on Instagram, and is well-known for her hilarious personality.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia earlier this month, a well-placed insider claimed producers were desperate for Mary and Martha to appear on the Channel Seven show together, but were forced to change plans at the last minute.

‘Martha has a good thing going with Nine and suggested that Mary would be perfect for the show,’ they said.

‘Mary is already popular with a lot of MAFS fans. They all love her. She will bring a lot of drama into the house and is very well liked and not afraid to speak her mind.’

Big Brother continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Chanel Seven and 7Plus
