Argentinian media described Noah’s unexpected appearance as the first time Michael and Luisana had let fans see him since he recovered from his November 2016 liver cancer diagnosis and subsequent fight for life.

It was certainly the first time they had let him appear in one of the Instagram Lives they have treated fans to since the start of the coronavirus crisis.

Photos of the eldest of their three children have also been few and far between since they revealed he was in remission after his cancer drama.

In March last year the couple and all three of their children, including middle child Elias who turned four in January, were pictured smiling for the camera during a tour Michael was doing.

Noah stole the show after appearing by surprise as his dad confessed he and his wife let their children sleep with them in bed at weekends and invited him to sit with them by saying: ‘You can come and say hi, you’re always welcome dude.’

The youngster spoke in Spanish to say he loved the weekends because he got to share his mum and dad’s bed and did a high five with his father after he suggested a film and popcorn later that night.

He dived off camera and seemed to be getting up to mischief by climbing on things as concerned Michael warned him to be careful not to fall before putting in a second appearance.

The 44-year-old singer called him ‘tough’ as the youngster embraced his mum and then put his arm round his dad and nodded as Michael said: ‘He doesn’t want to be a singer when he grows up, he doesn’t want to do any of that, he wants to swim with sharks, be a scuba diver.’

He added: ‘This is our super hero. We have two other super heroes but you know what, this boy is a big inspiration for us and it was a big inspiration for us to do this with you and be welcomed into your homes all over the world.’

Michael used the 16-minute-long Instagram Live address to announce he was about to release a fundraising song with band Barenaked Ladies and Mexican Sofia Reyes.

It finished with Noah laughing as he revealed he had asked his dad for a cuddle earlier before taking advantage of the hug to steal one of his sweets.

The youngster then waved after his mum told him lots of his friends were watching although he ‘went shy’ after she tried to get him to talk in Spanish.

The new footage appeared to show the star couple were well over the controversy earlier this month generated by images of Michael elbowing his wife during a previous Instagram Live.

He was branded a male chauvinist after the elbow video and the publication of old footage picked apart by Argentinian media including one clip where he told Luisana: ‘You’re dead.’

Luisana, 32, reacted by saying she would choose her husband ‘a thousand times over’ and assured the public she was not suffering any problems in her marriage.

A spokesman for Buble later insisted: ‘All everyone needs to do is see them on together on Facebook Live every day.

‘They are equal and loving partners and treat each other with the greatest respect. They are a beautiful couple.’

Michael has always proven to be a doting father – withdrawing from hosting the Brit Awards and 2017 Juno Awards to focus on Noah’s fightback after he was diagnosed with cancer.

She said: ‘Things like this that happen in life make you realise that the most important things are not what you think they are.

‘The most important thing in life is to have faith and to be strong. There’s not a day goes by that I don’t go to bed at night praying to God, “Please”. Thanks God the worst is now over but this is a long and ongoing process.’

The actress told Argentinian magazine Gente last July: ‘We learnt to identify and establish priorities in my life and they changed completely. I don’t worry now about silly things, about malicious comments or conflicts.

‘I’m not saying that nothing bothers me, just that there’s an enormous sign in my head that says “family”. I understood that I shouldn’t put up with something that makes me uncomfortable or suffer or I dislike.’
