‘He’s not a crazy loon’: Michelle Bridges and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson support controversial Pete Evans after his unscientific claims about COVID-19 and departure from Channel Seven
Pete Evans has been sharing conspiracy theories and unscientific opinions relating to COVID-19 ever since parting ways with Channel Seven several weeks ago.
And despite being widely condemned by the scientific community, the 47-year-old celebrity chef does have the support of health and fitness guru Michelle Bridges.
The former Biggest Loser trainer, 49, said on Monday that Pete was just being his authentic self and Australia ‘needs more of that’.

‘I love the fact Pete Evans is who he is, and he’s not afraid to be who he is,’ Michelle said.
Radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had brought up the topic of Pete, saying: ‘I feel a little sorry for him. The media makes him look like this crazy loon, but he’s not at all.
‘He’s looking at alternatives, but they really are going so hard hard on him. I think it’s really unfair.’

Michelle jumped in to agree with Jackie, saying: ‘I love him.’
She added: ‘In the media I feel like sometimes you have to play this dance, you have to be beige and say the right things and not say too much or too little.
‘But I love the fact that Pete Evans is who he is and he’s not afraid to be who he is. I think we need more of that.’
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Michelle endorses Pete’s views, just that she supports his right to express them.
