Michelle Keegan steps out in Cheshire amid claims ‘planning a NEW one-bedroom annexe at dream home’

Michelle Keegan stepped out in Cheshire on Tuesday amid claims she and husband Mark Wright are planning a new one-bedroom annexe at their Essex dream home.

The actress, 33, and former TOWIE star, 34, purchased the property for £1.3million in October 2019 and in January 2020 it was revealed that they are demolishing the four-bedroom farmhouse onsite for a lavish new home with a ‘classical design’.

Michelle and Mark are now said to have applied to Epping Forest District Council with their plans to demolish an existing stable building on site and turn it into a one-bedroom annexe.

The Sun claims that the couple formerly withdrew past plans to build ‘external accommodation’, believed to be for Mark’s parents Mark Snr and Carol, last May for reasons unknown.

The publication reports that the couple said in a new application letter via MP Architects LLP: We attach our planning application for the removal of the existing stable building and construction of a 1-bedroom annex, in conjunction with the approved new house.

‘The annex is for the use of our client’s parents, who need to be close to our clients for care.

‘The annex provides one bedroom, bathroom, a TV room and an open plan kitchen, living and dining area with a feature window & doors to provide good views over the countryside.’

MailOnline has contacted both Mark and Michelle’s representatives for commnet.

Michelle styled her brunette locks into a loose tousled hairdo, she added a slick of glamorous make-up.

Earlier this month, Mark took to his Instagram story to share with fans an update on the construction of the new property.

He filmed the upstairs of the house as the builders worked on putting the roof in place and dividers in to mark out the different rooms.

Mark is in the process of building the lavish mansion from scratch after he and Michelle sold their original five-bedroom pile in rural Essex.

Speaking to fans during a Q&A, Mark admitted progress was being made, but an official moving in date was still a long way off.

Responding to a fan who asked how the house was coming along, he wrote: ‘Coming along nicely thanks, but I just want to click my fingers and it be done.’

The TV personality also shared images from the skeletal build, suggesting its completion might not be for some time.

Asked by another fan when the house will be completed, he added: ‘Tomorrow hopefully. Wishful thinking.’

The couple recently shared a CGI image of the palatial home they’re planning to build revealing its huge windows and bright white exterior.

As well as boasting lots of large windows, the couple’s home features two smaller sections on the side of their home.

Showing just how much they’re planning on changing, Michelle and Mark shared a snap of their home taken back in 2019 when they decided to do the transformation.

They wrote: ‘Here’s the lovely house that we purchased back in 2019 vs what we are hoping to create.

‘It’s been a long process so far and still a long way to go but sooner or later we will have the house, we could have only ever dreamed of. #grateful

‘Thanks to @tidyworkstudio for creating the CGI image of our home, to help us see what we have chosen come to life. Great job.’

It was recently reported that the couple have sold their old home – bought in 2013 – with it being on the market for £1.78million last October.

Mark and Michelle purchased their new home for £1.3m in October last year and it was revealed in January that they would demolish the four bedroom farmhouse to create the sensationally lavish new house with ‘classical design’.
