Michelle Money’s ex reveals daughter Brielle has pneumonia but is ‘trying to open her eyes’

Michelle Money’s ex Ryan has revealed that their 15-year-old daughter Brielle has pneumonia as they await her to wake up from a medically induced coma. 

The 39-year-old businessman took to his Instagram on Tuesday night to share a generally positive update on his daughter’s condition after her skateboarding accident.

He shared a black and white photo of his daughter as he revealed Brielle has ‘a slight bout of pneumonia’ in which ‘her lungs are going to need assistance for a bit.’

Despite the bit of bad news there are several reasons for optimism including that she is been taken off a few medications as he revealed she was on Propofol, Dialaudid for pain management, versed to lessen agitation and anxiety, and Veucronium which is a paralytic.

He explained:  ‘Propofol has been the main medication that they have been giving to deal with the pressure in her brain. When the pressure spikes they usually bolster with the propofol.

‘TODAY they got her off of the propofol, which is HUGE news.’

He goes on to say that they have to keep her sedated due to things like her breathing tube and the fact that she is on several medications.

However the best bit of news came as he said: ‘Just spoke with the Nurse and Michelle, they said that [Brielle] is already moving and at times trying to open her eyes.

‘I can’t believe it; Brielle is trying to wake up. We have been without our Brie for over a week and so we are overjoyed by this and cannot wait!!!!!

‘Next steps is to have her respond to orders like, “squeeze my fingers,” “Give me a thumbs up,” “can you open your eyes,” etc, or to see if she withdraws from pain, like pinching her feet or hands.’ 

Despite the trials and tribulations, the former couple have remained optimistic.  

Ryan concluded: ‘We are so happy, though, with this progress and can’t wait to see her open her eyes. We are so excited!!!!’

The 39-year-old former reality star took to her Instagram Story to post a video warning her fans about the impostor.

She donned a medical mask at the hospital in the recorded video as she said: ‘You guys my Instagram account has been hacked and someone is reaching out to people asking for money. 

‘It is not me, please don’t send anyone money. I’m working on getting it fixed. I’m so sorry.’ 

She also posted a screenshot of a fake account as she reiterated to her fans not to send any money.

Michelle wrote: ‘Not real. Not me. Please do not send any money.’ 

She also said that handling the online incident prevented her from sharing a moment with her 15-year-old daughter.

Michelle wrote: ‘Also whoever made this I hope you rot in hell BECAUSE I JUST MISSED A SPECIAL MOMENT WITH BRIELLE TRYING TO WAKE UP.’ 

Michelle posted a similar update as she told her supporters that her 15-year-old was slowly being taken off medications and was one her way to waking up and that the day was full of ‘wins.’

While updating fans Money also held up a bag of her daughter’s brain fluid for those who were curious, in a set of Instagram stories posted Tuesday.

In Brielle’s hospital room, Michelle posed looking suspiciously at a medical bag filled with a golden colored liquid, which she described as brain fluid. 

‘Just holding a bag of my daughter’s brain fluid,’ she captioned it. ‘What are you up to?’

The former reality TV star stood in front of walls covered in photos of Brielle with friends and family. 

She donned tight black leggings and a green Nike zip-up jacket.

She also shared that she is taking up cross-stitching while she waits for Brielle to wake up.

In Instagram stories she also said that Brielle was able to move her hand slightly since coming off of the paralyzing agent and that the cough was likely due to the Pneumonia she has.  

Earlier in the day, Michelle told  her supporters that Brielle was making great strides in her recovery while sharing an Instagram Story of her daughter’s hospital monitor.

There was some good news for Brielle, who Michelle revealed was almost done being weaned off the anesthetic Propofol.

Michelle had previously expressed her worry that her daughter would come down with Propofol infusion syndrome, a possibly deadly complication people suffer after being sedated with high doses of the drug for extended periods of time. 

‘Brielle’s CPI [a measurement of brain pressure] is still in the teens BUT we are getting her off of Propofol today!,’ Money shared in the message timestamped 2:43pm.

‘She’s down from 175 to 40 right now and heading down 10 more every hour!’

It was going to be a slow journey for Brielle, as Michelle revealed the next steps.

But she was ready to be patient, telling fans: ‘This is a 4 day – 2 week process apparently!’

Later in the day, Michelle shared another one of her daily tributes to her only child, a heartbreaking video montage set to Audra Day’s inspirational track Rise Up and packed with beautiful photos and video of Brielle.

One week ago the Utah based hairstylist revealed the awful news of her daughter’s accident on Instagram with a photo of the teen tied up to life support machines.

‘She is in a medically induced coma to relieve pressure in her brain,’ the Bachelor Pad alum wrote at the time. 

‘She is in amazing hands up at Primary Children’s Hospital. Please, I am asking for prayers… She needs support and healing right now. And if you could send one up for me as well, I would appreciate it. This is the worst experience of my life.’
