Surfing great Mick Fanning puts his Coolangatta apartment block on the market – after buying the beachside units for $3.1million in 2007

Australian surfer Mick Fanning is determined to sell his Coolangatta apartment block which he bought as an investment 14 years ago.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the 39-year-old delayed the auction of the property by a week, after buyers were struggling to get approvals from lenders.

By giving them more time, Mick had about 30 people inspect the block over the weekend.

Mick purchased the beachside units $3.1million in 2007 and has since repainted the block and renovated the interiors in a beachy, bohemian style.

There are two large apartments in the block and two granny flats, which means four potential income streams for buyers.

They are set to go under the hammer this weekend.

Real estate agents have said the units are potentially available for ‘separate sales’.

Mick also has quite the property portfolio and has other blocks in the street.   

Mick, who hails from Sydney’s Penrith, is one of Australia’s most legendary surfers who survived a shark attack in South Africa in 2015.

He is engaged to American beauty Breeana Randall, 28, and the pair recently welcomed a son, Xander Dean, back in August last year.

Before that, he was married to Karissa Dalton, but the pair split in early 2016.
