Cody seemed to relish his job as the day’s dog walker, and last week he shared some sweet black and white photos of himself cuddling up with Bo.

‘Salty dogs,’ he captioned the stylish black and white photos of himself embracing the pooch.

Bo had already grown considerably since March, when the couple adopted him amid a push by celebrities to foster and adopt dogs and cats from shelters, which were overrun and understaffed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, he and Miley were out in force with other protestors in Los Angeles.

The mostly peaceful demonstrations were inspired by the death of George Floyd on May 25.

The 46-year-old Floyd was killed when Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer, pressed his knee into his neck while he lie on the ground for nearly nine minutes, including close to three minutes after he had stopped breathing and became unresponsive.

Despite initial delays, he was eventually charged with second-degree manslaughter and third-degree murder (later upgraded to second-degree murder), and the other three officers at the seen were charged later with aiding and abetting murder and manslaughter.

The four officers were fired from the Minneapolis Police Department shortly after video of Floyd’s arrest and death was released.

On Wednesday, Miley shared a black and white photo of herself protesting in LA the day before while wearing a mask with ‘Black Live Matter’ on it and a sign with the same slogan, along with a short video she took from the protests.

She also mentioned the upgraded charges against Chauvin and the other officers involved in Floyd’s death.

‘We can’t stop fighting for justice—justice for George Floyd, for Breonna Taylor, for Tony McDade, for Ahmaud Arbrey [sic], and the too many names we don’t know,’ she wrote, ending by restating: ‘BLACK LIVES MATTER.’
