Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles’ Tracy Tutor stands by criticism of rival series Selling Sunset

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star Tracy Tutor stands by her criticism of rival series Selling Sunset but wishes them ‘all the success in the world’

Earlier this month, Tracy Tutor suggested that rival reality series Selling Sunset is less about selling real estate and more ‘about dating bachelors in the Hollywood Hills.’

And although the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star stands by her original comments, she insisted in an interview with People on Monday that she holds no ill will towards the cast of Selling Sunset.

‘I don’t take back anything ever, but I will say now — and I’ll say it over and over again — Oppenheim Group is a very successful team, and the girls, I wish them all the success in the world,’ said Tutor.

Sticking to it: In an interview with People published Monday, Tracy Tutor stood by comments she made earlier in the month about rival reality series Selling Sunset, but insisted that she holds no ill will towards the cast

She made her controversial comments during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live with her series co-stars Josh Altman, Josh Flagg, James Harris and David Parnes on July 7.

Tutor explained that although she has ‘mad respect for women in real estate in Los Angeles,’ she does not think Netflix’s Selling Sunset is ‘about selling real estate.’

‘I think it’s about dating bachelors in the Hollywood Hills and it really actually should be a Bravo show,’ said Tracy, whose own series Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles airs on Bravo.

She also claimed to have ‘never encountered the Selling Sunset realtors at any listings or open houses’ in the Los Angeles area.

Wishing success: 'I don't take back anything ever, but I will say now — and I'll say it over and over again — Oppenheim Group is a very successful team, and the girls, I wish them all the success in the world,' said Tutor; Heather Young, Maya Vander, Mary Fitzgerald, and Chrishell Stause pictured on Netflix's Selling Sunset

‘But, that being said, you know, if you want to sell real estate, maybe kind of come on over to our show and figure out how that works.’

When asked to describe the differences between Selling Sunset and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Tracy classified the Netflix series as ‘a totally different animal.’

‘And I will get crushed for this, so I have to walk a very fine line … I will say this: the boys [firm founders Brett and Jason Oppenheim] who appear on the show are great. They’re super successful and rightfully so,’ said Tutor.

Though Tracy stands by her criticism of Selling Sunset, she did want to clarify that ‘there’s more than enough room for more women in the real estate industry.’

She also congratulated the cast of Selling Sunset on their undeniable success.

‘I know it’s doing really well, so congrats to them for a successful TV show,’ concluded Tracy.
