And now Mindy Kaling is opening up about living in fear while pregnant with her son Spencer during the pandemic.
The 41-year-old actress and writer gave her 5.6 million Instagram followers a glimpse into her stressors while thanking the medical professionals who helped her give birth.

Mindy’s post included a Peanuts illustration of Snoopy up in Woodstock the bird’s nest while surrounded by identical baby birds.
‘Thanks everyone for your kind words about the new addition to my family,’ she began her caption.
‘Being pregnant during the pandemic was a little scary, but it made me appreciate all the doctors, nurses and medical professionals who continue to work tirelessly giving treatment to those who need it, putting their own lives at risk.
‘Spencer is happy and healthy and his sister is obsessed with him (well, his toys). It’s been so fun having him in the house, I almost forget I’m outnumbered now,’ she concluded, before sending her love to her fans.

Later in her Insta Stories, Mindy revealed she had been delivered an Ethiopian feast from the popular restaurant Meals by Genet from LA’s Little Ethiopia.
‘I’m so thrilled. My favorite chef from my favorite restaurant… sent me an Ethiopian feast,’ she began, for turning her camera to the tasty entrées.
Mindy also shared a closeup selfie of herself to highlight a new ‘two-kid-club ring’ she received.

The day before, Mindy announced that she had given birth to her second child, a son named Spencer, during a virtual appearance on The Late Show.
The Mindy Project star posted a photo of herself in a lovely hot pink dress and powder blue heels to Instagram shortly before her appearance, in which she hinted that she would ‘drop some big news.’
‘I’m telling this for the first time, it feels so strange,’ she later told Stephen Colbert, before sharing that she gave birth to her son on September 3.

She has opted to keep the father’s identity to herself.
Explaining her decision during a 2019 talk with the New York Times, Mindy said: ‘My feeling is that, until I speak to my daughter about that, I’m not going to talk to anyone else about it.’
In addition, Kaling has decided to keep Katherine’s face out of the public eye – always obscuring her girl’s face on social media.
The Ocean’s 8 actress opened up about her decision to become a mother during an interview with Glamour in 2019, telling the magazine: ‘I always knew I wanted to be a mom, but I would have put it off and put it off. I’m happy that it happened when it did.’

‘I would have put it off indefinitely. I’ve seen firsthand the heartbreak of women who have waited to get pregnant [and then it doesn’t happen].
She said her late mother Swati — who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2012 — was a huge inspiration to her, explaining: ‘For me, my relationship with my mother was such an integral part of my life.
‘Thinking back on our relationship is still such a huge source of my happiness day-to-day, so I’m so grateful for having Katherine.’
Like her family, Mindy tends to keep her romantic life out of the limelight.
Kaling is close friends with The Office co-star and co-writer B.J. Novak, who she dated on and off throughout the series’ run.
