Miranda Lambert says her anxiety has been ‘through the roof’ during COVID-19 crisis… and reveals she and husband Brendan are ‘just being together quietly’

Miranda Lambert has confessed her anxiety has been ‘through the roof’ amid COVID-19. 

The 36-year-old took to social media on Friday to reveal she’s struggled over the past few weeks but is finally feeling a little better with the help of her husband  Brendan Mcloughlin, 27.      

‘I haven’t really known what to say on social media during all this. I’m not great at socials anyway and a time like this makes it that much more difficult for me to figure out how to be,’ she began the lengthy post.

‘Tuesday of this week is when I finally realized I could unpack. For the next few months for me there are no shows, no sound checks, no bus calls, no flights. Just home.’ 

‘Once I processed it, I actually got a feeling of peace even though , like all of us, my anxiety about the sate of the world right now is still through the roof.’  

And Miranda went on to share how she was channeling her anxiety into projects and activities.

‘I’ve started working on some projects around the farm that I kept running from because I had to leave for work and some I’ve wanted to run from because organization is not my fav’ 

‘Ive been having some pretty cool virtual happy hours with friends and family. Brendan and I have been cooking, cleaning, working out (some virtual classes but not enough @b.w.fitness @willowpilatesstudio) spending time with dogs and horses and just being together quietly.’ 

The country singer also shared that she was working on writing new music, something she hasn’t done in a year. 

‘Well besides the country music constantly coming through the speakers. I have written a few songs for the first time in a year. And text writing a cowgirl song with @ronniedunn (such a fan girl of B&D).’

She shared she received some wine and food with a note on a napkin reading: ‘Send love from home.’  

Miranda accompanied her post with a series of photos from her life on the farm. 

She shared selfies with little chicks and her dog before also posting a pic of a very happy Brendan. 

The two-time Grammy winner’s post comes after she was forced to cancel her Australian tour this week. 

‘Australia, as you may have already heard, the Australian government has put restrictions in place, banning gatherings of more than 500 people,’ she wrote.

‘I’m so sad we won’t be able to play some country music for y’all! I’ll be thinking of you and hope that you stay safe and healthy,’ she said.

Miranda was set to perform at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion on March 24 and Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on March 26.

She was also going to be performing at the CMC Rocks event in Queensland on the March 22.

Miranda has not yet announced if she’ll be rescheduling her upcoming Wildcard tour. 

The tour is scheduled to start next month on April 23 in Idaho before continuing on in Canada. 

There are currently nearly 112,500 confirmed cases and 1,846 deaths from coronavirus in just the United States.
