Missy Higgins causes concern among fans as she wears a neck brace after her son Samuel ‘ran at her head while she was sitting on the floor’

Missy Higgins has injured herself while isolating at her home with her two young kids and husband Dan Lee in Melbourne.

The singer, 36, shared a photo wearing a brace on her neck to Instagram on Monday, and wrote: ‘Neck is well and truly buggered’.

Missy’s post comes just two days after she revealed she ‘couldn’t turn her neck’ after her son Samuel Arrow Lee, five, ‘ran at her while she was sitting on the floor’.

‘My son ran at my head full pelt while I was sitting on the floor today so now I can’t turn my neck and am walking like an android,’ she said.

‘Lockdown 2.0, Stage 4. F**k off now please. But I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ve learnt,’ she added.

Fans have expressed their concern after the image of Missy wearing the neck brace and laying in the sun was shared to Instagram.

‘I’m so sorry! Hope you heal quickly,’ one person wrote. ‘What did you do??’ another questioned.

Another commented: ‘Missy, sorry to see this. Sounds like you might need to wear a crash helmet around your boy!’

‘Hope you’re okay Missy! Get well soon,’ one person said. ‘Injured parents are unsung heroes. Hope you feel better soon,’ another wrote.

Missy is currently isolating in her Melbourne home with husband Dan, their five-year-old son Samuel and two-year-old daughter Luna.

Earlier this month, the Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews declared a State of Disaster after 671 new COVID-19 cases that day.

This means that Melbourne is under a police-enforceable curfew of 8pm until 5am until at least September 13, as the rest of Australia returns to business as usual. 

Melburnians can only leave their homes between these hours for work, care-giving, medical reasons or on compassionate grounds.
