Mitchell Johnson broke down in tears and quit SAS Australia after a gruelling log haul challenge on Tuesday night’s episode.
And later that night, the former cricketer posted a series of graphic images of his swollen hands following the hard task.
The 38-year-old sportsman first warned his fans and said that photos aren’t for the faint-hearted.

‘The next pics might freak some people out,’ he captioned the post.
‘My hands got smashed on this course but all better now. I think most of us on the course had some physical gifts to take away with us’
Mitchell shared several close up images of his hands, which were not only swollen, but the skin had also cracked open in various areas.

During the challenge, Mitchel was carrying a log with his teammates when he let go and folded over in half.
Chief instructor Ant Middleton approached the recruit and asked him whether he wanted to continue with the show.
‘What decision are you going to make? Make a decision now! You get back on that log or you give me your number,’ he ordered, as Mitchell broke down in tears.

After managing to pull himself together, Mitchell ran to catch up with his teammates, but as he neared them, he stopped.
Turning to face Ant, Mitchell silently pulled off his armband and handed it over to Ant, signalling the end of his time on the show.
Defeated, he then crouched on the ground and broke into tears, as he admitted: ‘I can’t make excuses, I’m just not good enough.’
