Former My Kitchen Rules chef Manu Feildel has lost a significant amount of weight in recent years.

Manu, who recently got back from filming SAS Australia, looked noticeably slimmer in a white long-sleeved shirt and a pair of jeans.

He was accompanied by a friend, who joined him for lunch at a local cafe.

According to a recent spoiler, both Manu and fellow SAS Australia recruit Brynne Edelsten quit the military-style reality show after just two days.

Last Wednesday, the recruits were pictured completing a gruelling water challenge, but Manu and Brynne were nowhere to be seen.

It’s believed the celebrity chef, 47, and socialite Brynne, 38, weren’t participating in the challenge because they had quit the show earlier.

Last year, Manu revealed the secret behind his amazing 12kg weight loss.

In addition to changing his diet, ditching alcohol and joining a gym, he said road cycling had helped his battle with the bulge.

‘I’ve lost 12kg and I’m happy where I am with that,’ he told Yahoo! Lifestyle at the time.

‘What keeps me motivated to stay active is that if I stop I know how easily those kilos will go back on. Also, I want to be fit and healthy for my family.’

Manu’s new-found passion for cycling has been so intense that he’s set himself a goal to take part in the Noosa Triathlon at the end of October.
