Dramatic CCTV footage showed the moment a speeding driver smashed a stolen Honda into a row of parked cars after a hit-and-run crash that left a woman with a broken pelvis.

Police were called after a grey Honda Accord ploughed into a woman as she walked along the street in Birmingham last month.

In the shocking clip, the out-of-control car can be seen driving at speeding before colliding with several parked cars which crushed under the impact.

A group of pedestrians can be seen looking startled and attempting to hide behind another vehicle just metres away, including a small child.

The driver was pictured being helped from the vehicle wreckage before he fled the scene on foot along with another passenger.

The woman, in her 30s, who was mown down by the car, was taken to hospital with a broken pelvis after paramedics rushed to the scene.

West Midlands Police say she has since returned home where she continues to recover from her injuries.

The force is now appealing for anyone who recognises the driver and his passenger from the images to get in touch.

The Honda was stolen from an address in the Acocks Green area before the shocking crash happened at 2pm on March 6 and caused ‘significant damage’.
