Mother-of-three returns home to find a metal BOLLARD had been installed in her parking space

Post haste! Mother-of-three returns home from work to find a metal BOLLARD had been installed in her parking space while she was away

  • Jasmine Frank was shocked to see the obstacle outside her home in Cornwall
  • She was told by Coastline Housing she could park in the space when she moved
  • But she thinks neighbours have complained and is now trying to get it removed

A woman returned home from work and was shocked to find a bollard had been installed in her parking space.

Mother-of-three Jasmine Frank got home in her blue Peugeot 206, to find the metal post has been put in – blocking her access.

Jasmine had asked housing association Coastline if she could park in the space outside her gate when she moved into the property in Cornwall and was told she could.

The mother now believes the obstacle was put in place after her neighbours complained – and has launched a petition to have the bollard removed.

She said: ‘My neighbours have been moaning about the parking space outside both our gates.

‘They have contacted the housing association I rent from numerous times over the years and have now caused this bollard to be placed outside my home.

‘It now blocks anyone from using the parking space in an already limited area.

‘The spaces are all outside someone’s home or a gate in certain spots however, the bollard is only outside my residence.’

Jasmine insists that she checked with Coastline about the spot, and they said it was fine to park there even though it was not a designated space.

She added: ‘I feel victimised and singled out by the decision to have that there and now taken a parking space in an already limited parking area.

‘I am starting this petition to remove this bollard and get a perfectly good parking space back that not just I use myself but others too.

‘I respect that others may not have been very neighbourly but I always park respectively and there’s always been plenty of space for them to walk by.

‘I also work. I am out my house from 7.30am and don’t get back ’til around 4.30/4.45, so not in for over nine hours a day Mon-Fri.

‘I also park in this spot due to the fact one of my children has a tendency to run off and is being evaluated for additional needs, so I park there for her safety.’

The petition has already received almost 100 signatures.
