Hair today, gone tomorrow! Neighbours star Nicky Whelan debuts a striking new look after shaving her head in self-isolation
Head-shaving has become quite a trend trend during the COVID-19 pandemic, as those struggling with self-isolation boredom turn to the clippers for a change.
Now, Australian actress Nicky Whelan, 38, has jumped onto the buzzcut bandwagon, debuting a brand new half-shaved hairstyle on Instagram this Sunday.
Posting a gallery of photos of her new, peroxide blonde under-cut ‘do, the former Neighbours star wrote: ‘So this happened … anyone else shaving there head atm’

She completed her post post with the hashtags: ‘quarantine life’, and ‘I’m fine’.
It’s not the first time Nicky has undergone a dramatic hair makeover.
In 2018, she shared a video to her Instagram Stories showing the aftermath of a bob-length haircut.

‘Guys, it’s gone! My hair’s gone, just like that!’, Nicky announced in the video, which appeared to have been filmed in her car.
Sporting a full face of makeup, Nicky then squealed several times before placing a gloved hand to her face and looking from side-to-side in a panicked manner.
She then began a bout of comical heavy breathing before saying ‘It’s OK’ and ending the clip by smiling serenely into the distance.

Meanwhile, Nicky made headlines recently after she lifted the lid on her doomed marriage to retired NFL player Kerry Rhodes.
The Australian actress separated from Kerry, 37, in October 2017 just six months after saying ‘I do’, and has never disclosed the reason for their split.
Speaking to WHO magazine earlier this month, Nicky said there had been moments when she was on her knees in despair after their break-up.
But there were also moments of unexpected joy and happiness as she rediscovered herself in the months following the sudden split.

‘There were moments when I was on my knees and then there were moments when I laughed harder than I ever have,’ she said.
‘Break-ups don’t always have to be a sad thing depending on how you want to look at them.’
After splitting from Kerry, Nicky went on to date Canadian actor Kyle Schmid.
The couple debuted their relationship on the red carpet in October 2019, but have since parted ways.
