Nikki Glaser cries after blurting out wrong ‘final answer’ on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on ABC

Nikki Glaser cried as she made game show history by blurting out the wrong ‘final answer’ on Wednesday’s episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? on ABC.

The 35-year-old comedian was competing on the game show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, 52, for her preferred charity Rescue The Birds.

Nikki chose Dr Drew Pinsky, 61, as her ‘smartest person’ who could help her with the first 10 questions.

She got past her first $100 question that brought back memories of being eliminated first during season 27 of Dancing With The Stars.

Nikki said it was ‘truly humiliating’ and called it ‘one of the worst moments of my life’.

She and Drew sailed through the early questions, but Nikki stumbled during the $16,000 question.

Nikki was asked to name which critically acclaimed film was made to look as if it takes place almost entirely in one continuous shot.

The choices were: 1917, The Two Popes, The Lighthouse and Judy.

Nikki remembered seeing a continuous shot battle scene in 1917 and Drew ruled out The Two Popes and Judy.

They both admitted knowing nothing about The Lighthouse but Drew said the trailer had a lot of close-up cuts.

Nikki said she was going to go with 1917 and Drew agreed with her.

She wondered if they should use the 50-50 option, but dismissed the idea.

‘I just feel like we’re pretty sure,’ Nikki said.

‘Okay. ”Lighthouse”, final answer,’ Nikki stated.

‘No, no, no! No, no, no!,’ Drew shouted.

‘Not ”Lighthouse”, final answer! ”1917”, final answer!,’ Nikki hollered.

‘That’s what I meant – ”1917”, final answer!,’ she added.

‘No! No!,’ she screamed as Drew joined her.

Jimmy laughed and said they were going to take a break to figure out what happened.

‘No, you all know what I meant to do,’ Nikki said.

‘Oh, I’m gonna throw up,’ Nikki said.

Jimmy after the break said nothing like that had ever happened in the show’s 20-year history.

Nikki recapped her error and said she was going to cry.

‘This is a reminder to take things slow before you speak,’ she said as she wiped away tears.

Jimmy said they had to go to the judges who accepted her final answer of 1917.

‘I’m sorry I cried,’ Nikki said, but Jimmy said it made for a ‘great television moment’.

‘I haven’t cried in months, I’m on so many anti-depressants,’ Nikki quipped.
