Olivia Munn said in a resurfaced interview from 2015 that she was ‘obsessed with hanging out with’ John Mulaney.

There are rumors that the pair are dating now amid his split from his wife Anna Marie Tendler who has declared herself ‘heartbroken’ over the separation.

And in an old interview with HuffPost Live Olivia, 40, said she met John, 38, and Anna Marie, 38, at a wedding during their engagement and asked them to dinner – but never received a reply to her email reaching out to him. 

‘We were at a wedding together and I was like: “Oh my gosh, do you and your fiancèe want to go have dinner or something and go hang out?”‘ she said in 2015.

‘At first it was cool, and then I kept going up to him at the wedding like: “So you having fun?” the Newsroom actress confessed.

‘I was just so obsessed with hanging out with and talking with him,’ she said, noting she sent him an email not long after the wedding but ‘he never emailed back.’

Olivia was good-humored about the situation, saying with a chuckle: ‘I might’ve got the wrong email – probably. That’s what I tell myself.’

John proposed to Anna Marie, a makeup artist, in 2013 and they tied the knot in July 2014 in a ceremony officiated by Dan Levy of Schitt’s Creek fame.

He entered a 60-day stint at a rehab facility for cocaine addiction and alcoholism this past December, Page Six revealed.

Olivia was one of the many celebrities who sent him well wishes, tweeting: ‘Sending SO MUCH love and support to John Mulaney. You got this.’ 

He emerged from rehab in February and about a week ago he and Anna Marie announced they were splitting up.

‘I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,’ said Anna Marie in a statement. ‘I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.’

Meanwhile a Page Six source claimed that he had in fact requested a divorce about three months before he and Anna Marie went public with the news.

A few days after the split was announced a People source alleged that John had become romantically involved with Olivia.

‘This is very new, they’re taking it slowly. They met at church in Los Angeles,’ an insider in his camp told the magazine.

AJ Benza alleged on his podcast Fame Is A B**** that Anna Marie was at rehab at Silver Hill in Connecticut around the same time John was in treatment.

Shortly thereafter a Page Six source claimed that emotional problems and ‘eating disorders’ had caused Anna Marie to go to Silver Hill.

A couple of years ago John revealed in an Esquire profile that he was only 13 years old when he first began drinking. 

‘I wasn’t a good athlete, so maybe it was some young male thing of, “This is the physical feat I can do. Three Vicodin and a tequila and I’m still standing. Who’s the athlete now?”‘ said the Oh Hello star. 

Meanwhile Olivia’s dating history includes Swedish actor Joel Kinnaman and the NFL star Aaron Rodgers. 

She told Variety that ‘I never have ever been that girl’ who has the perfect wedding mapped out for herself in her head.

‘The idea of getting married has always made me a little….It gives me….I don’t know what that word is for…I’m like: “It’s hot in here, right?” It’s like: “Really?”…Yeah, I just feel like to pick one person forever,’ said Olivia.
