Paloma Faith has revealed she spends the majority of the day ‘cursing’ that she doesn’t have time to relax, but as soon as her children are asleep ‘spends hours looking at photos of them’.
The singer, 39, shared the honest parenting update on her Instagram page alongside a black-and-white photo of herself cradling her eight-week-old daughter, whose name is currently unknown.
The mother-of-two said: ‘When you are a parent to small kids you literally don’t breathe until they go to bed. You curse all day that you can’t relax and when they are asleep you spend hours looking at photos of them.’

Paloma wore her blonde hair swept up into a bun in the photo and held her blanket-clad baby to her chest.

It comes weeks after the doting mother revealed she is glad to be able to show the ‘rough parts’ of her job, just one day after her six-week-old baby was rushed to hospital with an infection.
Taking to Instagram to share a clip from her new BBC documentary Paloma Faith: As I Am – in which she opens up about juggling motherhood with a world tour – the hitmaker said her demanding schedule sometimes makes her feel like she is being ‘pulled in a million directions’.

The 60-minute film follows Paloma’s ups and downs as she navigates a world tour with a baby in tow in the ‘cut-throat world’ of the music industry.
In a short clip shared to her social media, the pop star shows a snippet of her life on the tour – pushing her child’s pushchair onto the tour bus and preparing baby food between shows.
The Only Love Can Hurt Like This hitmaker wrote in the caption: ‘Sometimes I feel like I’m pulled in a million directions.
‘There are times where I wish I could be 4 places at once but I’m learning I’ve got to take the time for myself… And my children!
‘I’m glad I’ve been able to show the rough parts of my job and really show that even when things in life may not be kind to you – you’re a warrior!’
Hours earlier, Paloma revealed that she had rushed her baby daughter to hospital with an infection and she would have to stay the night.
She kept her fans in the loop with the new development as she described the situation as being ‘bloody sad’ and shared a picture from hospital.
Paloma – who also has a four-year-old daughter with partner Leyman Lahcine – penned: ‘Back in hospital with my new baby she has an infection of some kind and we have to stay in.

Paloma has been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy journey with a refreshingly honest post-partum diary series on Instagram.
The star spoke of her fears that her career, which has lasted over a decade, could be coming to an end.
She spoke candidly in her documentary and said she felt like she ‘cheated death’ as she was still releasing music after having her first child in 2016.

Paloma, who has ten Top 40 hits and ten million record sales, said record label bosses were ‘concerned’ about her wanting to have a second child, reports The Sun.
She said: ‘I did have a dinner (with them) and there were signs of concern when I mentioned that I’d like another child.
‘I feel like I’ve cheated death in a way, in terms of the death of my career, with one. And I feel like maybe you can’t cheat death twice.’
The Picking Up The Pieces songstress added: ‘It feels a little bit at the moment like it’s the end of an era for me.’
In the documentary, she also opened up about her mental health and revealed she had suicidal thoughts and felt ‘mentally unstable’ due to jet lag.
Musician Paloma candidly confessed she tried to ‘unbolt the window’ in her hotel room after flying to Sydney to perform back in 2009.
She said: ‘I’ve had really bad experiences coming to Australia. The first time I ever experienced jet lag, I got a bit disoriented and mentally unstable and had to cancel the tour. I contemplated suicide.’
Paloma returned Down Under in 2015 but was hospitalised with exhaustion, and tweeted: ‘I don’t think all the flying is very good for the body.’
She has spoken openly about her struggles with mental health, and will explore the subject in her new documentary, which was filmed in 2018.
The star worked with director Jane Mingay over the course of a year on the film.
