Paralympian Ade Adepitan, 47, and his singer wife Linda Harrison, 30, announce birth of ‘beautiful’ baby son

Paralympian and TV presenter Ade Adepitan MBE and his singer wife Linda Harrison, who goes the stage name Elle Exxe, have welcomed a baby boy. 

Former wheelchair basketball player bronze medalist Ade, 47, took to Twitter on Monday to reveal the happy news and wrote: ‘I’m still buzzing!! 

‘Because at 6:36 am this morning I became a father for the first time.

So much respect for my wife @elleexxe she absolutely smashed it, and now we have a beautiful baby boy! #newborn.’

Just a fortnight ago, Linda shared a picture of her bump as she posed with Ade on Instagram, writing that the baby was due on Jan 12. 

She penned: ‘In non-Christmas and Covid or music news…my bump keeps bumping into things

Ade shared the same photo and wrote: ‘The next 4 weeks are gonna be eventful. That’s saying something after the year we’ve all had, but yep it feels like we’re about to begin a new chapter a new adventure.  

‘I’m feeling a mixture of excitement, and trepidation but mostly excitement! Keep an eye out for our posts as one day very soon you might just see a new member of the @adepifam appear on your feed. 

‘We better get as much [sleep] as we can before the big day. Well, that’s what everybody keeps telling us. #baby #bump.’

They tied the knot on August 11 2018 and Ade told Hello! at the time: ‘Everyone says it’s the best day of your life but it was probably better than that. 

The sports pundit said: ‘She looked so so beautiful. My eyes started watering, and quite a few of my friends turned their faces away as they didn’t want to start crying, too.’

The ceremony was watched by 170 friends and family members.
