Paramount+ is ‘close’ to reviving hit NBC sitcom Frasier to ‘start shooting this summer’
Paramount+ is reportedly close to reviving hit NBC sitcom Frasier, which amassed 37 Emmy Awards over 11 season spanning 1993-2004.
Shooting could begin as early as summer if the reboot is greenlit, according to TV Line, with Kelsey Grammer reprising his role as Harvard-educated psychiatrist Frasier Crane.
‘[We] have to make sure it’s going to be a great show,’ the 65-year-old actor told TCA reporters in 2018 of a potential reboot.

Paramount+ also hopes to lure supporting castmembers David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, and Peri Gilpin to return as Niles Crane, Daphne Moon, and Roz Doyle.
Sadly, John Mahoney – who played Frasier’s father Martin – passed away, age 77, in 2018 after a four-year battle with throat cancer.
