Peter Andre reveals his 2020 highlight was filming a movie with son Junior, 15, but insisted they play unrelated parts so teen ‘can stand out on his own’
With a tumultuous year drawing to a close, Peter Andre has revealed one of his highlights of 2020 was starring in a film with his son Junior.
The singer, 47, said he had shot scenes as an ‘angry character’, while Junior, 15, plays a ‘cool, funny teenager’ in On The Other Foot, which is scheduled to be released next year.
Peter said he specifically asked for Junior to play an unrelated part to him so he can allow his eldest son to ‘stand out on his own’.

Pete wrote in his New! Magazine column: ‘One of my proud moments this year is Junior and I starring in a film together. Although we’re father and son, we’re not related in On The Other Foot, and we play totally different characters.
”The initial thought by the director Fred Inwaka was that Junior would play my younger brother but I asked if it would be possible for us not to be related because I want him to stand out on his own.
‘He’s amazing and I can’t wait for people to see it, I play a not-so-nice angry character, whereas Junior plays a cool, funny teenager.’

Pete added the film, which follows ‘a racist stuck in a black body for 72 hours’, comes out next year.
Earlier this month, Pete said Junior still believes in Santa Claus – and while he sometimes doubts Father Christmas, Peter always wins him around.
On whether the kids believe, he told New! Magazine: ‘Junior sometimes questions the whole Santa thing. He says things like “I’m not stupid dad”…
‘I say “Well you don’t have to believe in Santa, but don’t be sad if he leaves you out and doesn’t get you any presents”. That quickly changes his mind.’

Peter meanwhile revealed that his eldest daughter, who is also Katie’s child, opted for a simple list this year: ‘Princess has surprised me this year…
‘When I asked her to make a list of what she wanted it was filled with all these simple things I thought: “Gosh! That’s a first.’
His chat comes after Peter sent his fans wild after sharing a sweet throwback snap where he looked the spitting image of Junior.
The singer posted a passport photo from when he was nine years old on Instagram, prompting floods of responses from fans who compared him to his son.
His followers were completely taken aback after seeing the adorable picture, commenting that the father-and-son were practically ‘doubles’.
In his caption, Peter also surprised his 1.6m followers as he revealed the old passport listed his birthday as September 27 – despite him being born on February 27.
The TV personality shared his complete shock with his fans as he wrote: ‘Erm for 47 years I thought I was born on 27th February. What is going on……. ? How old am I ?
‘Who am I ? This is my old passport when I was supposedly 9 years old. Was I 10? Was I fifteen ? Am I 103 right now?’ (sic)
