An 18-year-old who was knifed to death in a South-East London street fight has been pictured.
Mazaza Owusu-Mensah, 18, was stabbed in the chest in Abbey Wood, London, during a fight on a quiet residential street.
Police and paramedics were called to reports of a fight shortly after 5.30pm on Saturday. Despite their best efforts, Mazaza tragically died at the scene.
The Met have issued a desperate plea for anyone with ‘information or footage’ to come forward, saying: ‘Another young life has been ended at the point of a blade, another family is left devastated.’
Following his death, enhanced stop and search powers – Section 60 – were authorised for the SE2 postcode and a murder probe has been launched.
These Section 60 order was in place from 6.45pm on Saturday to 3am Sunday morning.

Lead investigator Detective Chief Inspector Darren Jones said: ‘Mazaza died on a residential street during lockdown when people would have been at home.
‘It is very likely that a number of people saw what happened and I am keen to hear from anyone who has information but is yet to come forward.
‘We are moving at a pace with our ongoing enquiries into the circumstances around Mazaza’s death but I am still keen to hear from anyone who has information that they have not yet shared with my team.’
DCI Jones called on anyone who may have been around Abbey Wood at approximately 5.30pm on Saturday, March 6, to get in touch.
He said: ‘Were you in Edington Road around the time of the incident?
‘Did you drive through the area and perhaps have dash-cam footage that could assist my team?
‘Another young life has been ended at the point of a blade, another family is left devastated – if you have seen information on social media or have any other information about who is responsible, we would encourage you to do the right thing – come forward and tell us what you know.’

On Monday, a 19-year-old man was knifed to death in broad daylight in London – making him the eighth teen stabbing fatality of 2021.
Officers were called to the scene at 1.54pm on Penhurst Road in Tottenham after two teenagers were stabbed and a third was injured.
The 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene while another teen, 18, was treated for stab wounds and taken to hospital.
His condition is not life threatening. The third victim, another 18-year-old boy, was treated for minor injuries.

The latest killings mean the teenage murder rate in the capital is more than double what it was at the same stage last year.
The latest wave of teenage knife crime began when 17-year-old student Anas Mezenner was fatally knifed in Tottenham, north London, on Wednesday January 20.
Since then there has been an average of one teenager stabbed to death in the capital every six-and-a-half days.
