Pregnant Millie Mackintosh shows off her luxury kitchen as she settles into new home

She’s a matter of weeks away from welcoming her first child into the world with her husband Hugo Taylor.

And Millie Mackintosh, 30, gave fans a sneak peek at the couple’s luxury new west London home on Thursday, as she uploaded a video of her breathtaking new kitchen.

The Made In Chelsea star took to Instagram to share footage of herself giving a tour of the space, which boasted a large area for entertaining, state-of-the-art fixtures and fittings, and a marble effect counter – which is perfect for ‘foodie photos’.

Clad in a flowing patterned dress, the TV personality said: ‘Welcome to my kitchen, cone on in, have a look around. Such a lovely, light open space and for me the kitchen definitely feels like the heart of the home.

‘I think it’s where people naturally congregate when they come over. I love having friends over and cooking and being very social.’

Bringing attention to her large dining area, she explained: ‘We wanted to put a big dining table here, so if guests are here waiting I can be cooking and I’m not in a different room. And in the summer, we can have the doors open, barbecue outside.’

Explaining that her barbecue area will be ready in time for the summer, she then strolled over to her sleek cabinets and sparkling counter-tops.

The mother-to-be gushed: ‘I’m loving this kind of like midnight blue on the cupboards with the marble effect counter-tops, which is great for when I’m doing my foodie photos. It’s a lovely surface.

‘And I’m very excited about having a kitchen island. This is so much fun for cooking. Its nice to have the space.

‘Also geeking out about the fact that I’ve got a really nice big oven. I can finally actually do two things at once, which I get very excited about. Perfect if you’re doing a roast on a Sunday.’

Gliding over to her food storage area, she enthused: ‘I think other people will understand, if they’re food geeks like me, having actual proper kitchen storage, where I can actually keep everything fairly organised in jars and different drawers and different shelves. That makes me very excited.’ 

Showing off a hatch in her fridge, from which she can grab items while saving energy, she said: ‘This is a really cool feature, which is great for saving energy.

‘So rather than opening the fridge door you just open this and you can reach in get your milk. Soon I’ll be able to reach for a bottle of wine!’

Sharing the clip on Instagram, the star added the caption: ‘Kitchen Tour… The heart of the home, this is where I spend most of my time. I hope you enjoy.’

Pregnant women have been advised to self-isolate for 12 weeks during the COVID:19 pandemic, as they are considered to be more vulnerable when it comes to the virus. 

It comes after Millie was forced to cancel her baby shower due to the coronavirus pandemic. She is now planning on having it later on in the summer, due to the social distancing terms currently in place.

However rather than wallowing over the cancelled event, the mother-to-be threw a mini pink-themed shower with her husband Hugo. 

Millie got dressed into her frilly pink baby shower dress, which was complemented by Hugo’s smart pale pink shirt and cream chino shorts.

She also received a delivery of flowers and a balloon arrangement, which would have been the decoration for her baby shower.

But rather than letting them go to waste, Millie positioned them in pride of place in her kitchen and posed in front of them for a sweet photo shoot with Hugo.
