Queen Maxima of the Netherlands stuns in bright suit and floral coat

She’s known for her bold style and bright outfit choices.

And today was no exception for Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, who sported a regal red suit and floral coat to mark the the National Opening of the King’s Games in Vlinderslag, Amersfoort.

The royal, 49, showed off her sartorial prowess in the colourful green, yellow and blue knee-length coat, which she accessorised with burgundy touches and bold earrings.

Keeping her blonde hair loose and straight in a relaxed blow dry, the Argentinian-born royal opted for wide-leg red trousers, with a coordinating shirt and blazer. 

Known for her impeccable style, Maxima sported burgundy leather gloves, heeled boots and a handbag.

Maxima kept her make-up natural, with a brown smokey eye framing her face and simple lick of black mascara.

Sticking with her flower theme, she paired the look with pretty daisy earrings.

The King’s Games or Koningsspelen, happens a few days before King’s Day – where the nation enjoys open-air activities in celebration of the King’s birthday.

More than 1.5million children at 7,500 schools around the country will engage in sports and exercise as part of the games, as they enjoy a day of health and fun rather than lessons.

This year, King’s Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, 27 April.
