In the clip, the model asks her Ukrainian-born grandmother what her favourite foods are.

Moving: Rachael Finch lost her grandmother, who died on her 95th birthday, on Sunday. And on Monday evening, the 32-year-old shared her final video with her beloved Nan. Both pictured

Nan listed off borscht, which is an Eastern European beetroot soup, kapusta, which refers to cabbage or sauerkraut salad, and barley soup.

She then complained that she was given rice for every meal, joking: ‘Rice for lunch, rice for dinner, rice for tea, rice, rice, rice!’

Rachael captioned the video: ‘One of the last times I saw Nana in person for a chat. She told me the story of being born in Ukraine, moving to France, then how her family lost everything and fled the war, ending up in Germany.

‘While our upbringing was a little different, our food choices were pretty spot on. Thank you for all your beautiful messages today, it means so much.’

The former Miss Universe Australia remembered her Nana as a ‘beautiful soul’ in a heartbreaking tribute shared to Instagram, earlier on Monday afternoon.

Announcing the sad news, Rachael revealed her grandmother had told her she was ‘happy’ during their last phone conversation just hours before she died.

She added: 'While our upbringing was a little different, our food choices were pretty spot on. Thank you for all your beautiful messages today, it means so much'

Rachael accompanied the tribute with a photo of herself gently resting her head on her grandmother.

‘Heaven has another angel’ she began her tribute. ‘Nana turned 95 yesterday, and on the same day she left our world.’

She continued: ‘I spoke to her on the phone in the afternoon after not being allowed to see her face to face. She asked how the kids were, and after I asked how she had been feeling, she calmly said, “I’m happy, Rachy.” That made me happy.

‘Hard to swallow. But forever grateful to have had a beautiful soul in our life who was beyond strong.

‘Nana would always sit in her chair and say things like “keep going”, “learn more”, “work hard”, “you can do it”. I’ll never forget those words and I’ll never forget your kind face.’
