Rachel Brosnahan leads cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on New York City set ahead of fourth season

Rachel Brosnahan and several other cast members from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel were spotted in New York City on Friday.

The actors appeared to be getting ready to film an exterior scene as they made their way through the bustling streets towards the shooting area.

The production crew of the wildly popular Amazon Prime Video series is currently working on the show’s upcoming fourth season, which does not currently have a set release date. 

Doing what they do best: Rachel Brosnahan and several other cast members of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel were spotted working on the show’s New York City set on Friday

Brosnahan was costumed in a vintage red overcoat that featured sleeves that cut off just below her elbows.

The 30-year-old actress’ outer layer was complemented with a pair of dark blue high-heeled shoes.

Much of her beautiful brunette hair was covered by a festive hat, although the bottoms of her luscious locks fell out from underneath her headwear.

The performer carried a transparent umbrella to keep herself dry in the light springtime drizzle.

Brosnahan later changed out into a much more casual outfit in between scenes that was comprised of a pair of multi-buttoned jeans, a black sweater and white sneakers.

Her co-star Tony Shalhoub kept it casual as he showed up for work, as he wore a pair of dungarees underneath a red flannel shirt and a zip-up hoodie.

The 67-year-old later switched out into a button-up shirt and black tie, which he paired with matching sets of pants and leather shoes.

The Monk star also wore a puffy jacket to keep out the New York City chill and a facial covering for protection against COVID-19.

Several other cast members, including Alex Borstein, Caroline Aaron and Michael Zegen were spotted making their way to the taping area of the show.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel first premiered on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service in March of 2017.

The series follows a New York City housewife who discovers that she is a talented standup comedian and begins a career in the burgeoning comedy scene of the late 1950s.

The show was created by writer Amy Sherman-Palladino, who took inspiration from comics such as Joan Rivers and her own father.

The cast and crew of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has won several awards ever since the show intitially premiered.

The series itself was given the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy the year after it debuted, and Brosnahan clinched the distinction for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy at the same ceremony.

In 2019, Shalhoub and Borstein won the Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor and Actress, respectively, in a Comedy Series. 

That same year, the entire cast was given the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
