Rebel Wilson shows off a lavish gift from her Bridesmaids director Paul Feig

Bridesmaids hit cinemas in 2011, going on to become a box office smash.

And one of the film’s stars Rebel Wilson has shown off a gift she received from the film’s director Paul Feig to honour the comedy’s 10th anniversary.

The ornate championship-style ring even bore Rebel’s surname on one side. 

She set the post to the song ‘Hold On’ by Wilson Phillips, which featured prominently in the movie.

The ring even had the words ‘Hold On’ on one side, in a nod to the track. 

Rebel captioned the post: ‘Thank you @peulfeig you classy gentleman! Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since BRIDESMAIDS’. 

The upbeat post comes after Rebel thanked fans in a heartfelt update to her cryptic Instagram post on Sunday in which she revealed her fertility struggles.

The Pooch Perfect star edited her post with an addendum which said: ‘Just wanted to say I woke up this morning and read through everyone’s kind messages and stories about their journeys and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me and has made me feel a lot better today.’

Rebel added: ‘Social media for the win here in terms of creating connection when I was in a very lonely place. So thank you everyone.’ 

Among the supporters flooding Rebel with positive comments were celebrities like Sharon Stone, Jillian Bell and Gage Edward.

Sharon, who is known for her films Basic Instinct and The Quick and the Dead, commented: ‘Been there repeatedly there is good news I have three beautiful sons.’

The actress, 63, adopted her three sons, Quinn, Roan and Laird, because an autoimmune disease made it difficult for her to carry a pregnancy to full term.

She had suffered several miscarriages during her marriage to ex-husband Phil Bronstein, before eventually deciding on adoption.

Meanwhile, Brittany Runs a Marathon actress Jillian Bell added below Rebel’s post: ‘Sending you love Rebel’.

Flipping Out star Gage Edward simply commented a prayer hands emoji. 

Rebel had suggested she was ‘struggling with fertility’ in her cryptic Instagram post shared on Sunday night.

The Aussie star, who split from her boyfriend Jacob Busch after a year of dating in February, shared an image of herself standing by the ocean, along with a caption that suggested she had received ‘bad news’.

In the post, she penned: ‘I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with… but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya…

‘The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense… but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.’

Last year, Rebel revealed she wanted to improve her health because she had decided to freeze her eggs.

She explained: ‘I was thinking about fertility and having good quality eggs in the bank, so I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to do this. I’m going to get healthy.”

As part of her ‘year of health’, the Pain & Gain star shed a whopping 30kg in 2020.

Then in early February, Rebel split from her boyfriend Jacob Busch, after the couple had dated for a little more than a year.
