Reese Witherspoon gets into holiday spirit by making a gingerbread house with her kids

Reese Witherspoon seems to be getting into the holiday spirit.

On Wednesday, the 44-year-old shared a picture of an impressively decorated gingerbread house to her Instagram account.

The actress apparently created the confection-based structure with her children and admitted building the home is one of her most enjoyed Christmastime activities.

Her caption partially read: ‘One of my favorite things about this time of year is decorating gingerbread houses with my kids.’

She then admitted that they all have a sweet tooth that gets sated during the construction process: ‘Ok…we mostly just eat the candy.’ 

The entrepreneur was helped by her 21-year-old daughter Ava and 17-year-old son Deacon, both of whom she coparents with former husband Ryan Philippe.

Also involved in the gingerbread house creation was her son Tennessee, aged eight, whom she shares with her current husband Jim Toth. 

Witherspoon could be seen leaning against a marble countertop and was wearing a holiday-themed sweater from her own clothing line, Draper James.

The actress allowed her gorgeous blonde hair to flow down onto her shoulders for the picture; she also accessorized with some gold hoop earrings and a few bracelets.    

The Walk The Line star has been very much in the holiday spirit lately, as she previously shared a photo of her adorable pup, Minnie Pearl, posing in front of the family’s Christmas tree.

Witherspoon noted her dog’s photogenic features in her caption: ‘Over the shoulder is her best pose.’

In addition to using Instagram to document various aspects of her personal life, the Big Little Lies actress has used her account to promote various items from her clothing line, most recently for its holiday collection.

The collection was first released in early November and was comprised of a variety of items, including sweaters, dresses, pajama, and various jewelry pieces, among other products.

Earlier this month, Witherspoon shared a snap wearing a festive red plaid matching pajama top and bottom set.

Noting that many of her customers have been working from home over the course of the pandemic, the Sweet Home Alabama actress captioned the photo: ‘Matching PJ sets count as business casual these days, right??’
