Regina King rocks a stylish suit while grabbing dinner with a friend at Craig’s in West Hollywood

With awards season winding down, actress/filmmaker Regina King spent her Wednesday night grabbing some dinner with a friend.

The 50-year-old One Night in Miami director was spotted heading into Craig’s in West Hollywood.

She was spotted signing autographs for fans as she headed into the hotspot, days before her directorial debut One Night In Miami vies for three Oscars.

King stepped out with a stylish tan jumpsuit with a maroon bra seen peeking out from the top.

She also wore a thin gold necklace and silver earrings while staying safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic with a tan plaid face mask over her mouth and nose.

The multi-hyphenate had her hair in braids and competed her look with a pair of olive green open toed pumps.

King made her feature directorial debut with One Night In Miami, after cutting her teeth directing several TV episodes on shows like Scandal, Shameless and Insecure.

The film, written by Kemp Powers based on his play of the same name, presents a fictional account of four iconic Black men – Muhammad Ali (Eli Goree), Malcolm X (Kingsley Ben-Adir), Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge) and Sam Cooke (Leslie Odom Jr.) – who meet in Miami to discuss their roles in the Civil Rights movement.

The film is up for three Oscars – Best Supporting Actor (Leslie Odom Jr.), Best Adapted Screenplay (Kemp Powers) and Best Original Song (Speak Now) – though many believe it was snubbed from Best Picture and Best Director for King.

The Los Angeles native makes her first return to the big screen since 2018 later this year with Netflix’s The Harder They Fall, an upcoming Western starring Idris Elba.

The story centers on Nat Love (Jonathan Majors), who rounds up his former gang to get revenge against the man who killed his parents, Rufus Buck (Idris Elba)

The cast also includes Zazie Beetz, LaKeith Stanfield, Delroy Lindo, Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi and RJ Cyler.

King made headlines earlier this week when she landed on the cover of Vogue Greece, completely unretouched, the publication’s first ever unretouched cover.

‘I accepted this Vogue Greece cover because it just really felt like an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and not have photoshop to rely on and I feel what Vogue Greece is doing is a very powerful message for women especially,’ King said.

‘Thanks, Vogue Greece, for bringing me on the ride and I hope a nice amount of women look at the magazine and say “You know what? I’m not gonna give a f**k”, even if its just for one day!’ she added.
