RHONY: Eboni K. Williams makes historic debut as show’s first black cast member in BLM face mask

Eboni K. Williams made her historic debut as the first black star of The Real Housewives Of New York City on Tuesday wearing a Black Lives Matter face mask and hoodie representing the Central Park Five.

The 37-year-old attorney and TV host joined season 13 of the Bravo show as a main cast member and was introduced to viewers while meeting up at a park with second-year cast member and new friend Leah McSweeney, 38.

‘I like your mask,’ Leah said of the BLM face covering that Eboni was wearing last October amid the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Thank you, baby. Yeah, I love this mask, but I hate this mask,’ Eboni admitted.

Eboni also wore a hoodie bearing the names ‘Yusef, Kevin, Antron, Korey & Raymond’ representing Yusef Salaam, Kevin Richardson, Antron McCray, Korey Wise and Raymond Santana who were dubbed the Central Park Five while being wrongly convicted of a brutal 1989 assault and rape in Manhattan’s Central Park.

Leah and Eboni changed to a lighter topic and discussed the show newcomer’s recent date with Allen.

‘He’s great. He’s great. We had fun. We just grabbed dinner, like, on the Upper West Side,’ Eboni told her.

Leah then gifted Eboni with a ‘resting b**** face mask’ and also promised to get her a leopard-print one, too.

‘Well, I do believe in a resting b**** face. It’s how you keep the lines away. I sleep with a resting b**** face,’ Eboni joked.

Leah in a confessional gushed about her new friend.

‘Eboni is pretty much the epitome of Black Girl Magic. She is a lawyer. She’s an AKA. She’s a broadcaster. She took on the president, and she does this all while looking hot as f*** wearing Louis Vuittons,’ Leah said.

Leah was referencing the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority that Eboni is a member of and a DailyMail.com headline was shown about the ex Fox News host receiving death threats for criticizing former President Trump.

Eboni also made Leah crack up as she declared that unlike her, she had no issue going to the bathroom during a date.

‘I will take a doo-doo. I don’t care about that at all. Because I’m a human being, b****. I ate,’ Eboni said as Leah doubled over laughing.

Leah and Eboni later took a chauffeured SUV to a brunch hosted by Sonja Morgan, 57, at her townhouse on the Upper East Side.

Sonja awkwardly pointed out to Eboni that her pond fish were of all colors.

‘I’ll just try to be PC. …If you notice, my fish are every color. I have black, white, yellow, black and orange,’ Sonja said.

‘I see biracial fish, yeah . . . body positivity, you have larger fish — you have fish diversity, b****,’ Eboni told her.

Luann de Lesseps, 55, also revealed that she was a distant fan of Eboni.

‘I don’t know Eboni well, I just know her socially and in passing but I’ve always liked her and thought she was beautiful,’ Luann said.

Luann arrived at the brunch with her new neighbor Ramona Singer, 64, after earlier confiding that she had stopped drinking after scary blackouts.

‘I’m not drinking right now,’ Luann told Ramona. ‘I literally think that at this point, I’m allergic to alcohol. This summer, I had a couple of times where I didn’t remember how I got home. It was dangerous.’

Luann admitted that it forced her to take action.

‘It scared me. I was out in Sag Harbor and that happened a couple of times. I said, ”You know what, I’ve been drinking my whole life. It’s not worth it. It’s time to change”,’ she said.

‘I was so disgusted with myself. This is not happening ever again,’ Luann said.

Luann was arrested in December 2017 in Palm Beach, Florida on charges of battery, trespassing and disorderly intoxication and went to rehab twice while also being prohibited from drinking while on one-year probation as part of her plea deal.

She revealed that she started drinking after completing the terms of her probation in August 2019.

‘Last year, I was trying to figure out when I was going to drink again. Now, I’m okay without drinking. …Something clicked,’ she said during the season premiere.

Leah after relapsing last season also stopped drinking and celebrated a year of sobriety in March.

Luann reached out to Leah after explaining that she had been drinking during quarantine before going sober and wanted her as a ‘wingman’ for support.

‘Last year, I was trying to figure out when I was going to drink again,” she said during the season premiere. ‘Now, I’m okay without drinking. …Something clicked’.

‘I haven’t drunk since March 31. This is how it’s supposed to be for me. I’m here,’ Leah assured Luann.
